We just got back from WDW and had a blast pin trading! We purchased traders online for around $2 per pin and they were great. There were lots of pins worth trading for and the CMs with lanyards were very friendly. Here are some of the pins we found:
Hidden Mickey monorails: we managed to find them all!
Hidden Mickey topiaries: My DH took up the hunt and found them all!
Hidden Mickey Cinderella fairies: Found them all!
Hidden Mickey transportation pins: Found them all!
Hidden Mickey scuba pins: found them all!
Hidden Mickey inner tube pins: found all but Daisy
Hidden Mickey pirates: found all in the 3 pin set plus some of the others
Hidden Mickey Caldrons: Found them all!
Hidden Mickey Mickey and Minne heart shaped pins: found all 3!
I also completed some sets I had started before (HM dollar bills, doubloons, formals and princesses)!
In addition to the HMs, there were many of the tinker bell pixie dust pins, and I also traded for a 2005 passholder pin, and a 50 Disneyland spinner pin.
I had the least success at the MK, most of the CM lanyards were filled with the cutie pins, but all of the other parks had better pins on CM lanyards. We also found some good pins on the trading board at Epcot pin traders.
Don't forget to try the new mystery pin trading machines, they are now at MK tomorrowland video arcade, Mouse Gear in Epcot and Pin traders in DTD. You always get a pin ($5) no matter how well you do on the game. The duplicates also made for great traders and there were people around the machines hoping to trade for the pins they were looking for!
The only pin trading disappointment we had was at the MK, where they were sold out of the $1 MK logo pin you could purchase if you spent $30 on pins. In general, the selection there for purchase was not as good as Epcot, or DTD. When at Epcot we were also able to purchase some of the Where Dreams HapPin pins that were sold at the pin celebration on 9/7-8.
Overall an awesome time! Let me know if you have any questions!
Happy pin trading!
