Sept 20,2011 Wonder Repositioning Cruise

Yes had a good time - didn't see too many of the presentations but did some shopping!!! It was a bit crazy that the lines were soooo long for the presentations but it was still fun!!!

Were you there Friday or sat?

Both - actually, we had 3-day tickets because I wasn't sure when things were going to be scheduled. We went Friday and Saturday, I wanted to look...shop...and see two panels (Parks and Resorts and Studios).

We were successful, but it *was* crazy yesterday. We got stuck waiting yesterday morning and were in limbo in the stand-by line for the Studio thing, but got in (barely).

I was impressed by how nice the Disney staff all were. Ha!

Getting so excited... of course I just found some more cool stuff at our local michael's store for the FE so it seems like my gift is expanding for the kiddies.

Good for you! I find the older I get the less I want to deal with massive crowds. This is not a good thing since it means I avoid events that have a lot of potential to be fun.

We toyed with the idea of going back today just to go to Mickey's of Glendale (the WDI Cast Member store), but...after two days, it was just not going to happen.

My game plan was low expectations and not getting too emotionally attached to specific things - if it happened, great. If not? Great!

I saw Kermit and Miss Piggy, so I was happy.

By the smiles I'm guessing you two had a great time!

Just got off the phone with Princess Cruise Lines and I am loving their customer service. I explained the situation and if I stay at their sister hotel - The Doubletree they pick us up at the airport on Saturday and take us to the pier on Sunday. And Princess will apply what we already paid for transfers to the room so we $160 for the extra night. I am perfectly happy with that since DH picked the Marriot for $220. My idea is cheaper and includes transportation.

Jennifer, way to make lemonade!

Just like Rosie I, check, check and recheck my airline ressie's. Been stuck with what ever seats they had when we got to the airport. We almost sat separate from each other. Amy the b**** came out...LOL....

Off to check them again right now.

Oh...and thanks to everyone for the comments on our pix. We ended up being Grand Marshal's of the parade that day!

OMG I hate Frontier Airlines. They changed our flight on 9/18 from six in the morning to 3 in the afternoon, which makes it impossible to make it to the Princess cruise on time. Uggghhh, so now we changed our flight to Saturday instead which means now we have to find a hotel and change our transfers.

After the experience we had with American Airlines and then hearing more and more of incidents like this makes me wonder if air travel is going to implode soon. It seems to me like they are shooting themselves in the foot more and more. American has lost any future business of mine and I'm betting Frontier has lost your business...

I'd rather fly in one of these (and I was in one like it when I took the picture) than fly on a commercial airline...

I'm glad that it all worked out for you and for the better. :yay:

Yeah I won't ever be flying Frontier again. They cancelled the flight in July and didn't even notify us. DH was double checking the info and freaked when he saw the later flight.

We usually fly Southwest but Frontier was cheaper this time. From now on we are sticking with Southwest no matter the cost. We've never had a problem with them, always get notified with flight changes immediately and they give refunds if the airfare goes down. I've used that nice little perk twice now.

that's the only place i DID buy something....well a few things actually LOL!!! The Dream Store had a NICE Mickey Icon necklace that i LOVED, but at $4K i'm sure DH would have thought i had lost my mind :confused3 (we still have a kid at a private college)

Too funny! We only made it to the Archive store and the Collectable Forums - picked up a things there.

But it was a very dangerous place - so much stuff I'd love to buy everywhere.
:rotfl2:

I feel the same way when it comes to "Xmas shopping" and i LOVE to shop!!! But this wasn't all that bad - just avoided the lines that were over 45 minutes!! LOL

Ok, totally off topic here, but I got a laugh out of this one:

"What do you call a grizzly with no teeth?"

"A gummy bear..." :rolleyes1

*bans self from ever going to D23* I would want to buy tooooo much stuff there from the sound of it. and just for the record, John would kill me for spending 4k on a necklace.

LOL...a cousin of the abominable snow man after Hermey the elf gets done with him.

Here's a picture of the DH (Alex) and me (taaren) since y'all already saw the cuteness that is my DS4, Sam, several pages back ...
This was taken New Years Eve 2008, so a bit dated but we're at that age where our looks don't change much so we should still be recognizable. Except for the hair, it got too heavy so I had to chop it off the next year and its currently shoulder-length instead. Miss the waist-length hair a lot when I take pics though.

Wow that's really inconvenient. Wonderful that Princess was so accommodating though! And you get to start your vacation a day early!:woohoo: I almost wish our flight could get moved a day early to spend more than 24 hours in either Seattle or Vancouver but DH didn't want to leave work and get on the plane since we always seem to forget something if we rush on our way out the door so we're flying out Sat instead of Friday afternoon.

:cool1: I'm so glad it worked out for you!! I now check my air reservations constantly since JetBlue once cancelled a flight w/o notifying me at all.
This is the nice thing about flying Delta confirmed when my mom works for Delta ... anything happens to our flight and we'll know about it right away. They tend not to move transpacific flights for non-mechanical reasons anyways. I'm always amazed by the amount of changes made for the shorter trips ... schedules fluctuate that much for the airlines really makes a difference to their bottom line I guess.
I get to hear lots of stories from her though about how demanding people get if their flights do get moved for mechanical reasons, which always makes me think: "Would you really rather be on time in an unsafe airplane?" Its not like the airlines can keep extra planes around just in case one breaks down without charging a lot more for airfare. People get so crazy.

Officially less than a month away! Starting to feel more real now. :yay:

ohhh yes - i remember that cute photo now of your "pirate"!!

This is Nate and me during our engagement shoot. My hair's longer now (I'd cut it all off to donate it to Locks of Love, but it's about shoulder length now :)).

Sorry the picture's so small... I don't have the actual picture on my computer anymore... my harddrive crashed a few weeks ago and had to redo it, and lost a lot of stuff on it. I've got the CD somewhere but I'm too lazy to find it! LOL! This one's from FB, so it's just a tiny thumbnail.
