Sept 1st 2005 - Wonder

My counter down strip is telling me 2 months to go.....is everyone getting excited?

I guess there are only 4 families on this voyage. :sad2:
It is hard for me not to read my passporter again.
And I am taking 2 adolescent boys with me. They are excited to not have to spend all day with each other. (12 & 14).
DH is excited but doesn't show it much. Currently states, "Tell me when to start the van and go to the airport." I handle all the arrangements, with his money :rotfl:
Swim suit hunt will continue this afternoon.

I hate to swim suit shop...very depressing. I did buy a new one last week though.

Does everyone have their excursion, spa and Palo's booked?
Anyone going to do the Wine Tasting? We normally do this. It's lots of fun especially when they use a glass to open a bottle of champagne.

It appears we are the only couple going. We are leaving the kids at home. They are none too happy about this.

We are driving down and will be staying at the Radisson. Anyone else driving?

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Well tomorrow will mark the 2 month count down. My count down timer was wrong earlier, but I have fixed it now.

I am just getting so excited. Anyone else getting as excited?

I guess it is only the four of us. Wouldn't it be grand to have the run of the ship. Toss a coin for who gets the Cat 1 suites. :rotfl2:

BTW. Flying out of BWI the night before and day after. Rasul, Palo, and kid registration all done.

I noticed there's two other families on the Dis DCL board that is going during our cruise. Just thought I would bump the thread to see if anyone wanted to join in?

My docs arrived today. This morning about 10:45-11:00 am via UPS.
:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

We are also going on this cruise with you all. Our DD is very excited and counting down the days; our DS shares her enthusiam. All our paperwork/planning is near complete and our cruise documents arrived yesterday. Our trip begins with two days at WDW/WL (MK and MGM). For us, we're counting the days... 9 days remaining.

I noticed that a number of you folks are familiar with the MD/VA/DC area; we live in Bowie, Maryland. My wife and I read this forum often... this is my first post and this thread seems to be lacking input from our Sept 1st crewmates.

We are familiar with both the 3-day and 7-day DCL cruises. Let us know if we can be of any help to you all.

Great to know that another family is joining us. We are leaving MD on the 31st. 10 days!
Docs are done, hourly plan of attack is typed out. Reconfirmed all ressies. Just waiting to pack.

Glad to have you guys going with us!!

Charleen are you getting excited?

I still have so much to do. School starts here on Thursday. We have just finished the painting of one of the master bedrooms in our home. The kids are old enough to be upstairs by themselves so we are moving down now. We have to move all the furniture this week. I have not thought about the clothes I will take. I have little odds and end things packed but nothing else. I have not filled out the first paper yet. LOL I have not made my door signs. I can see it now. I will be up until the time we leave on the 31st! LOL
Well Jeff is driving I guess I can sleep on the way down!

Did we decide on a meet yet?

:cool1: Selena,
Excited is a relative term. :rotfl2:
Watched the Wonder leave port last night. Reading my Passporter book for 3rd time. Rough draft of hourly schedule is typed. I have a small section of my closet for wardrobe planning. With recent weight loss I have lots of room in my closet at the moment. Door signs are hanging on my frig.
My kids start school next Monday. They think I am soo cool, taking them out the first week for two days. There are a few minor details I need to attend to. Notes to schools, re: missing 2 days. I keep looking at list of things to do before leaving and it is getting longer.
DH is excited, dreaming about upgrade to Cat 1. :rotfl2:
I could go on and on.
Have you ever had the room decorations or flowers in room? I kinda of want them, but mixed reviews online. I just want the wow factor when I open the door.
Good luck with work and getting it all done. I have a plane to catch so I do have to finish sometime. Newspaper, house watcher, dog shots, etc...
later

Since this is my first DCL, I am not sure were/when to meet. But am open to a meeting. I plan on being at the port NLT 11 am (if I can get DH out of WDW). :earseek:

OK, I will email or pm everyone I know that is going and see when is a good time for a meet.

We should all meet for the deck party/sail away party or the pirate night party?

Look for your pm or email.

I will be giving out my room number an cell number to everyone.
