Sept 19th,2004 revisited.....

THANKS..

BELIEVE IT OR NOT, I FINALLY STARTED PACKING...

WASHING SOME LAST CLOTHES..

UMM.. WE BOOKED ONLY A COUPLE MONTHS AGO...

WHOEVER FINDS OUT FIRST, ABOUT ANY CHANGES...

PLEASE POST HERE TO LET US KNOW....

LET'S ALL MAKE THAT PACT RIGHT NOW...

JUST THINK IN A LITTLE OVER 3 DAYS... MY FAMILY WILL BE IN A CAR TO FL....

*SIGH* IT'S ALMOST HERE....

BTW, THE CASTAWAY CATS ARE SAFE... IN CASE YOU HAVN'T READ THE THREAD.

In case you haven't heard the news, this weeks Magic is planning to stop on CC on Friday! While that is good news, I'm afraid Jeanne may have other plans for us!

Aeryn: I think Dzneprincess was probably among the first to book (since she started this thread way back when). You can bet I'll post if I happen to hear anything from DCL.

Glad to hear the CC cats are ok! I'm a cat lover myself and was hoping to catch a glimpse of them on CC.

Anyone flying Continental? I read on the Continental website last night that people traveling into Orlando (and various other cities) can make one change in their flight schedule with no penalty. Wish I could get DH to fly in on Friday, instead of Saturday, but he refuses to budge. Guess we'll see what happens with Jeanne.

Okay, I will definately post on this thread if I receive a call from DCL regarding our Ports of Call.

At this point I just want to get to Orlando Airport (getting their the night before) and on the cruiseship. As much as I really want to go to Atlantis and CC I want to be able to cruise on the Wonder more! We booked the Comfort Inn @ Paradise Island so we could use the Atlantis facilities, not sure what to do about that reservation. I need to cancel no later than Saturday, 4pm. Hope we know what Jeanne is doing by then. Figures, that is the name of my mother-in-law (correct spelling & everything!)

Question; I have a really nice long gown that I would love to wear if the opportunity presents itself, but really not sure if people will dress that fancy or not. Any thoughts?

Faith

Ha! If DCL needs to call me I wont be here! LOL We are leaving on Friday for Orlando,so you all would know about any port changes before I. AND guess what? I have not packed a single item yet! I still have to work 2mmrw but have taken thurs ans fri off. I imagine I will pack at some point. It is so much easier to pack for 2 adults as opposed to 2 adults and 4 kids :-) I made, or should I say, attempted to make a door sign. You all dont laugh when you see it okay?

My daughter is making my door signs right now and I am working on our green mickey heads, making them into name tags.
Only 4 days left!!!!
:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
:hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Mostly packed! Got my water back yesterday afternoon..... been washing like crazy as we haven't had water since Friday.... But thankfully what I am bringing is not what I wear day to day since I wear uniforms at work LOL!

Looking forward to it and PRAYING for fizzle out Jeanne and Stay away from our trip vibes!!! Pixie dust to banish her from our routes!!! I supposed since I only booked at the end of July I won't be hearing from DCL LOL!

We are leaving bright and early Saturday morning... running away from our version of Ivan who will be here long about Thursday or Friday! ACK!!

Leaving here in the morning!!! Just finished packing and I'm going to work on our green ears in the car!
We're hoping to get out of Dodge BEFORE Ivan arrives here in LA. Looking forward to meeting all of you !!!!!
Sally

Just heard about this thread.

This is my 1st cruise. 1st cruise for all 3 of us.
My son (4) is just giddy waiting for the ship. I hope he meets up with another young boy or girl to play with some. As an only child he's Soooo used to being around adults that he sometimes finds it hard to mingle with other kids. It's important to me that he have fun and socialize. It's the primary purpose of this cruise for my wife and I. We'll try to have some fun as well of course.

If anyone wishes to contact me on the ship. I'll have a motorolla walkie talkie (i was told to buy it). I'll have it on channel 3. Other than that, email me at gdcmjr1@yahoo.com and i'll send you my info. While i'm sure i can meet up with folks there on the ship, it would be nice to know there are like minded folks out there placing an emphasis on the child's vacation over there own.

I hear ya lilpooter, we are under that same time limit...

It doesn't look good *sigh*. Jeanne's projected path is bringing him right next to Nassau, Mon am.... the same time as us...

I hope Disney is watching this closely...

still not a hurricane, but they expect that in the next 24 hrs.

Personally.. Key West or Cozumel I like better than Nassau, so it doesn't matter to me... Nassau we've been twice, and Atlantis is the only thing I havn't done... but still it's iritating to have plans change.

update on Jeanne. She is expected in the Bahamas on Saturday.

Just got off the phone with my TA. I called to ask if they have heard of any changes for our cruise. She said that Disney told her they are very aware of Jeanne and keeping a close watch on the system. At this point nothing has been changed, however they said it was very possible for our itinerary to change due to Jeanne. TA said she would call Disney again on Friday for an update, unless anything comes up before! I will keep you posted!

Faith

Thanks...

I am still worried.. I mean w/ the Comfort Inn suites, the price we paid...

We may cancell them... We are gonna wait till Fri evening though...

We are starting to feel some wind up here...

havn't checked to see where Ivan is right, just got home for shopping... doing some of that 'last minute' cruise stuff...

i called disney. They indicated with the path of the hurricane at the time, they would most likely leave from PC as it's further north and would slide down overnight to cozumel. the Hurricane should be way pass PC by the time Thursday dropoff comes around.

That's all I was told. Said Cruise most likely not to canel, but bahamas is very unlikely.

San Juan was also mentioned, depending on the condition of the port.

orateam, thanks for the update. Quick question, aren't we already scheduled to leave out of PC? They aren't considering us boarding from another port are they?

Thanks again!

Faith

Cozumel? Is it nice there? I sure hope so.... Its next to cancun so I hear that is gorgeous... So it must be nice...San Juan I would think took damage from Ivan. That is if I am correct it passed right over them.. Maybee I am wrong.. But hey I can handle Cozumel.. Be real nice if we can stay there 2 days in a row... That is seeing how we will most likely totally miss the Bahamas... Who knows...

Anyone else been to Cozumel with Disney? Are the beaches nice and not real crowded? I can see all the Bahama cruise ships filling that place up quickly!

My wife is freaking out.. She told me from the start when we booked not to book in September.. But whom would have known that this season would be a total unheard of DISASTER, for storms that is....

Anyone else confirms our Itinerary let us know!!!!Thanks

Spankey

OK yall refresh my memory please. When are we having our mini DIS meet?

Amanda (Dzneprincess), here is a copy of what dodle wrote on a previous page of this thread:
Are we still going to meet either in the terminal before we board or at the stage end of the Goofy pool between 5 and 5:30?
One week from today we will be having fun!!!

What do you all think about meeting at the stage end of the Goofy pool between 5 and 5:30? If things get chaotic with Jeanne a terminal meeting may be difficult for some. Just a thought!

Is anyone else headed out on Friday? We leave Saturday.

Take care,
Faith

Faith,
God willing we are leaving on Friday. We are awaiting the arrival of Hurricane Ivan right now. All the forecasters are predicting that things are going to get bad in good ole Columbus GA. Oh man I hope not.

The stage end of the Goofy pool between 5 and 5:30 sounds good to me. I'll try and remember! If we don't see you at the pool I'll be the one asking, "Did you participate on the DIS boards for this cruise?". I'll try and keep a lime green mickey on my purse or my short loop during the trip. Every one take care, be safe traveling, and we'll see you all soon! MICKEY BOAT, HERE WE COME!

I won't be checking the boars as of Friday am. We'll be on the road. IVAN get out of our way!

:cheer2: :thewave: :thewave: :thewave: :thewave: :cheer2:

I'm going to print the list of dis'ers & cabin #'s to take with me. If for some reason I don't make it to the Goofy pool I'll have my list with me & I just may come knocking on your door!:earseek: (hee hee)

Everyone have a safe trip, whether by plane or car. We leave Saturday morning, 8:20 flight out of McAllen TX that arrives in Orlando at 2:00. This will be DD's first flight (that she's old enough to remember) so we'll see how she does. Taking her rolling "Backpack" (from Dora the Explorer) with lots of crayons, coloring books & her Story Reader Books (with headphones) to keep her busy.

See you all real soon!
