Speaking of husbands, anybody got poker fanatics on here? Is so, DH poker and if there are others, maybe we can set something up for them one day. (And us girls can go "shopping" ?) DH loves to play poker and will regale anyone interested with his story of his final table escapade. Careful, I will take this time out to forewarn you that while DH is NOT a shark, he is extremely lucky.

It SO is all relative, I lost a ton for wt and since my cruise 2 years ago 14 lbs have crept back on, I am so struggling with it, but struggle I will and I WILL be shot of it for this cruise!!

I'm with you! Today I was told I was too fat by my doctor to be on one of my pills so have to change to another that one of the side effects (1 in 10 people get) is putting on weight!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously no one is helping me! I have a feeling that when they weighed me in Jan they got my weight wrong as they seem generally surprised I hadn't noticed a sudden increase in weight but I haven't put on that much! My Mother lovingly pointed out my butt has got bigger mind which I thought was a lovely response!

Drs are very sympathetic NOT, I got told for years that I needed to stop eating and excersie more, (tell me something I dont know) I couldnt even get out of bed I was so tired, yes thats cause youre fat, It took a lovely locum dr to go over all my notes and suggest a change in meds, I never looked back.

DH is on ut he's clueless (UNLESS ANOTHER MALE ON HERE POINTS IT OUT) and I can always "hide" it out or tell him - its my birthday present from you to me. Thank You Honey!

One day I will travel like you - right now we just do 3-4 weeks at a time! We will do Austria and Amsterdam before this cruise.

I'm not 100% sure, but I thought Platinum and Concierge have the same booking windows. But remember starting in 2011 the OBCs for rebooked cruises increase based on your CC status, so I think you'd get a higher OBC if you were platinum than if you were Gold. You'd also get a free Palo dinner as Platinum that you won't get as gold or concierge.

Glad I didn't miss this! ROTFL. Ok I've been out on Mars but does anyone know if the Fantasy will be doing 7+ days as opposed to the Dream? AND.....if I can book on this cruise......hoorah! I may be able to talk DH into booking for the OBC (yes I know not that much) but we are plat level now. Passed that about 6 or 7 cruises ago.

My vote is for smaller buses/vans. I think that will keep us all moving more easily. For example, waiting for 15 people vs. 50 people to finish their toboggan ride before moving to the next destination would stagger the "crowd". Also, once one bus fills up at the port, they can get started down the road, again, staggering us just a bit. Putting it down to basics, it's less "standing in line" time and more quality touring time, IMO.

Additionally, as I recall, some do not want to go to Blandy's. So having separate vehicles that will have a final destination of the ship instead of Blandy's likely won't incur a greater cost because Daniel's would then have to make two stops (one for Blandy's and one for the Magic).

Those are my thoughts.

I'm just throwing out some random questions/thoughts on the tour but I plan to go-with-the-flow. Majority rules. Also, I know it's going to be a great time no matter what we decide to do, I just want to see what others are thinking and wondering if I'm out in left field:

1. One Big bus vs. several smaller bus: How are the roads? Are they to narrow for a big bus? I like the idea being able to do the tour in one bus with our own personal guide but don't want to be scared out of my mind as we drive around the island on small roads in a very big bus. Thoughts? Am I crazy?

2. No time in Porto Moniz for volcanic pools: How much time (approximately) will we have in the towns we are visiting. I want to see as much of the island as possible but I also want to enjoy the sights. Does she have a guesstimate of how much time we will have in each of the towns? Will we have time to shop, take pics, eat honey cake, etc.? Are we trying to do too much while we are there? Thoughts?

I agree with everyone about the smaller vans.....I would like to be able to stop and see the sights along with taking pictures....dont want to see it from the van as we pass by.
