I had a surprise today ... we have been putting together some new bedroom furniture and this has resulted in me having to have a good sort out of my clothing .... during which I discovered a lovely semi-formal dress from Per Una which I bought in last years sale. I had completely forgotten about it. So thats one less thing to have to buy ..... :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

:laughing::laughing:Wonderful and a great saving.

We joined the PIF Club several weeks ago with a payment on the Disney Visa, but I didn't want to say anything until I paid off the credit card. Did that yesterday.

Also on a good or I guess I should say wonderful note. I got the pathology report back from the growth on my pancreas and the report said there was no malignant potential for the cyst. I can not even begin to describe the relief my family and I felt when I read that report. Thank you all for you support through this.

Donna

Great news, Donna. So glad for you and your family.

oh I am so glad to know I am not the only one who travels with their pillow! My pillow is a feather pillow but it is not soft and fluffy really - my family calls it a rock but I love sleeping on it - the feathers (which get washed every so many months) - are feathers from my great-great-grandfather's feather bed so everytime I wash it it gets a little smaller :( but I love it and have been sleeping on it for 25 years.

Now the one thing is on this trip after loosing 2 suitcases on 2 different flights for as much as a week - is this pillow is only going into my carry on from now on!

And yeah I will admit it - I had a blanket as a child too!

Now you all probably think I am really weird

Krisann

My pillow really ensures I get a good sleep. I am also considering bringing my own. It is a memory foam heavy beastie. So if you are weird, then so am I!

I must be really weird too because I still sleep with my baby pillow - yes, how many years has that been - too many to mention. I do not find anyone weird that loves their pillow. I am always afraid to take mine anywhere - afraid it will get tossed or lost. I would cry:sad2: You might find this weird, I usually pack a fan to mumble out the sounds at night. I am a super light sleeper and if I go to sleep with the fan, I can sleep through anything. Talking outside my cabin wakes me - I don't think I will be able to take my fan, I might have to leave a few outfits at home just for the fan - did someone say weird????

I :love: my memory foam pillow and mattress, when I holiday in the uk and can I take it.
DH and I are having a glorious morning working on our trip. He made breakfast for me, served it to me in bed, brought in roses from backyard and now we are both typing on our computers!!

Sounds like a perfect day, we hardly EVER have breakfast in bed, mmmmm, just had a thought, maybe get room service breakfast in bed on this cruise for the first time:)

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

Krisann - thanks for posting the Navigators, LOVED reading them. I am biased to the old way they did them, instead of the new way!

Donna - so glad to hear about your test results. I had a little scare last month that turned out to be nothing too.

I would LOVE to join a walking club! Also, anybody into college football that we can possibly get in Diversions sometime during the cruise???

The lady from the EB that has been e-mailing me since I sent her pictures of the Magic leaving the Port has been sooo sweet. I don't know why she avoided the food and I was dying to ask, but felt that it could be very personal so I didn't, but I cannot wait to hit the chocolate ice cream with caramel sauce! So the walking club is looking good.

Welcome to all the new people!!!! My husband informed me that for Mother's Day he has allowed me to be in the PIF Club!!! I am sooo excited!!!! YEAH!!

By the way, I have to tell you what I did yesterday. I went to the beach, Gulf side and the water was 83 (why isn't it like that at Castaway) anyway, I was swimming, floating, lounging and I saw this huge thing underway coming at me. First I thought, shadow of some kind, second, seaweed and third school of fish. Then i noticed it was quite huge. :scared1:I didn't panic but wasn't breathing and it lifted its head from the water and it was a manatee! I was so excited. I love animals, mammals, etc. so the start of my Mother's Day was fabulous as I swam next to a manatee!!!! Had to share:lovestruc

I can't keep up with everyone...

Donna, congrats from here as well! So glad that there were no malignancies!

I am all in for the walking club. I use a pedometer at home and on a good work day I hit 10,000 steps. I am not sure how many laps around the deck that would be, but I am willing to find out!

For all the new folks - please be sure to visit our website and get on the roll call. www.transatlanticpirates.com Photos can be emailed to photos@transatlanticpirates.com We are still building out FE groupings - and there is space available. Our cutoff is the end of May, so if you are interested, please be sure to indicate that on your roll call registration as that is the listing that I work off of. I will be posting the latewt groupings later in the week.

How incredible! Manatee are so amazing to watch. My mom used to live in Venice FL and there was a place the you could go and swim with the Manatee. I loved to watch them...

I hope we can get a walking club going once we see what hours people are available on the ship. I also love college football as both my nephews used to play. Congrats on the PIF!!

Your swim with the manatee sound fabulous!!

Ok - add Glenn, Stephen and I to the college football group. Glenn is a Buckeye, Stephen is a Wolverine and I am an Illini... Makes for an interesting household every fall... Ofcourse, of late, Illinois and Michigan doni't have very good teams, so...

Should we start a "walking club" or wait to see how the time change affects us, the food and all the activities?

Yes the Manatee was amazing and I am still talking/thinking about it. The only time I ever watched one was at Epcot in the Living Seas.

I am sure this question has been posted before, but what time does the ship leave Barcelona? Is it 5:00 or later?

Everyone's Mother's Day sounds wonderful!

Okay, why has it been so difficult to find a place in Barcelona that will have 2 adults and 2 children ..LOL I know most of you are coming in like the 15th or later but I am trying to find something for one night on the 7th so we can catch the ship for the last med cruise ... Has anybody booked for a fam of 4 and where ?? What kind of price ?? Thanks for any help you can give ...I know some have suggested other hotels but some come up a bit expensive ...

Also how many are staying at WDW post cruise ?? We booked Animal Kingdom for a night through DVC ...

pirate:

Honestly, I do not work for them, but I can really recommend the Holiday Inn Express at Mollins de Rei. I just checked for the night that you would be there and for four people it would be EUR42. This includes a continental breakfast.

We have 5 nights booked in a Bay Lake View Studio at Bay Lake Tower after the cruise using our DVC points.

I am so glad that you were given the all clear.

I would be up for a walking club.

The ship will leave Barcelona at 9:30 or 10:00 from memory.

I would like to see a walking club with the TBA. My thoughts were an early morning walk around the deck, maybe meeting at the Cove Cafe???

Just my thoughts...

Just looked at your pictures.....they are wonderful....Cant wait to see some of those sights in person in 4 months!!

I am in the process of uploading my photos from the Med cruise onto Photobucket. Between us we took about 700 photos.

My latest information says 9:30 PM but somewhere I seem to remember we have to be on the ship by 4 or 5PM. Does anyone have more current info?

That is what confused me - I had to be on the ship at 4 or 5, but we are not leaving till late. I would really like to be able to buy some olives and wine! I don't get in till Saturday morning though. Are they allowing us to get off the boat once we "check in"?

I think we are leaving Barcelona after 9PM. I know a few of us with late dining were thinking about avoiding the dining room so we could do sailaway and see any fireworks that may happen...

Anyone know if this is reasonable? We are looking to take a taxi from BCN to the Praktik LasRambla. I am trying to set it up ahead of time so we don't need to wrooy about finding a taxi that will hold the 4 of us and our luggage (up to 4 large and 4 carry ons).

I saw posts about "Barcelona Taxi Van" and was quoted 50 EURO closed (including tax) to make the trip.

Good deal? bad? Average?

On our Med cruise, all aboard was 4PM, safety drill was at 5PM and the sail away party was at 10PM. Nobody was allowed to get off the ship after 4PM. I assume we will work to a similar time table for the Transatlantic.

Oh you chatters!!!:lmao:

Let's make this kinda short:rotfl:

Welcome all newbies.
Glad that everyone is geting or staying well.
Love the boats! Ours is 24' and weights only 40 lbs, fits on top of our car.:thumbsup2

Walking group, YES. Dh and I are picking a day at sea to do our own 5k..
1st Transatlantic 5k walk run :rotfl: and we're still up for the one on CC.

Happy Mother's day to all the moms everywhere.

I also bring my own pillow! One of thoses heavy duty ones, temperpedic ones. And a small white bear. She goes on all my cruises, I take stupid pics of her at all our ports. Really funny pics for the grandkids.

Cool to see a manatee in the wild ... awesome!

Boy, did I have a stupid day yesterday. Chris Angel(MindFreak) did a stunt here in Havasu. We took the 3 grandkids down to the bridge(London bridge) for the shoot. Holy Cow:scared1: Hundreds of people in 100* sun... very little shade and people passing out everywhere! We finally left at 3, still nothing was done! :headache: I could have been at home pulling weeds!:lmao:

Am I forgetting anything???
