Hi everyone! I haven't been around for a few weeks - it's been crazy between my grandfather's death and moving, I don't know where the time went! As for the questions...

1) I would have to say Deck 4 - love those chairs!

2) Well, right now I'm technically unemployed from my full time job. I do work part time at the Disney Store so that money helps feed the addiction. Plus I also do surveys with ***************.com to earn Disney gift cards to use towards our on board credit.

Well we saw blue sky for all of 5 minutes this morning and now guess what? Rain & Wind sweeping in!

It's horrible here - wind and rain - it's been horrible for days and days - I yearn for the sun and long warm evenings ......

Probably not - they don't let us join in a lot of really good stuff - I really want a Disney credit card and can never get one as I am from the UK !

I have book marked this, what size cab are you taking? They have three 4 person, 1 6 person and can arrange for larger size transportation options.

As it's just the two of us going I assume we'll get a 4 seater car (they all seem to be E-Class Mercs - which are typical for European taxis really). Its costing €95, but that is for the car rather than per person, so with 4 people it would work out cheaper per head.

The tour we're taking is 4 to 4 1/2 hours and includes the toboggan ride and a visit to Henriques & Henriques in Câmara de Lobos, which we really wanted to go to as it's our favourite make of Madeira.

The tour is as follows:

· Pico dos Barcelos, where you’ll have an overall look to Funchal and all the suburbs.

· Curral das Freiras, the centre of the volcano that originated Madeira

· Câmara de Lobos, a small fishing town and where you can visit the wine factory for a free wine tasting

· Cabo Girão the highest sea cliff in Europe and second highest in the world

· Monte, one of Funchal’s suburbs and where you’ll do the toboggan ride


We'll probably take the cable car as well, so they've said that the driver will collect us after the Toboggan ride and take us up to Monte again.

We've just got back in from a FIRE DRILL in the rain! Appears that a contractor accidentally set something off while installing new windows! I was on lunch so had no coat and just a fairly thin top on! Now sat in my coat with my top drying on the heater (although the heater appears not to be on)

Sarah, Yes I am working on a trip report and I have lots of photos to add to it. I am half way done with it. I hope to have it posted by next Monday. With Thanksgiving this week that will keep me busy for a few days where I can't work on it. I will post the link to it when I am done so anyone who wants to read it can.

Guess, that means Candida gets to put me to work getting ready for Christmas. Todays job putting up the Disney Christmas tree. Yes, Disney. Only Disney decorations on this one.

That is a good deal for 95 euros - particularly if you could share the tour with another couple. Perhaps if a few are interested we could team up into groups of 4.

If anybody is looking for a ticket to barcelona look at Airberlin they do oneways and the price is okay.

They are $437 out of JFK, one way (09/16) which is up from the $430 they have been for several weeks.
