Sept 17 2005 Magic - am i alone on the ship?

Tammy and Lorra,

have you both down for some coins.
could be from anywhere Chris brings them back from trips and you can not exchange coins so we have a bucket of them (literally)
i will try to dig out some interesting ones.

Karen, I haven't seen it but it sounds like it'd be Madagascar?

And AYE MATEY, YE surely would kick yourself when YE found out the quote from ME last post. 'TIS surely a quote from a DISNEY film. :cool1: PARLAY!

Shmora, glad you were successful with school shopping. That was always very fun for me. I even loved buying new pens, folders, binders, etc. My mom says I used to run to hide in the middle of those circular clothes racks. She'd call out and I wouldn't come, then she'd hear giggling and find me. She was NOT a happy camper apparently. I'll probably have a coronary with the things my kids do to me (if I ever have any).

That's what great about DSis' adoption process - the baby girl she has won't have her worst traits to pay her back with! Of course, she'll have someone else's worst traits and Melissa will catch those, but them's the breaks!

Night!

Hi! I just got home from work again. All day long I went shopping with my boys for school clothes, what a difference from yesterday's fiasco with my girls. Now I can sit back and relax because school shopping is officially DONE! Thank you for reassuring me with DD Alison. Sorry but I would not have known that movie because(don't hurt me or think I'm a wacko) I never saw ET. I know, how can that be but I never did!

Oh yeah could you bring some coins for my four kids and I will pay you for them. I think that would be neat. I wanted to get Bahamian coins last year when we took the cruise for my kids but I forgot. Now I am trying to get some somehow so if you know how to get some could you please tell me. I also last year lost one of my pressed coins from MGM for one of my kids and now they fight over who doesn't get one from MGM. I posted on another thread to see if someone could get me one and zI'd pay for it but noone would do it for me. I was thinking if anyone is going to MGM before the cruise I would appreciate them getting an MGM pressed coin and I would pay for it. I'm not going into the parks this year because I think we are coming down in three years with my sister and two nephews so I don't want to waste it and I want to save it for our Las Vegas trip next year.

Well, Good Night everyone. I start work at 6:00 am tomorrow morning and I just got home tonight from work so I'm tired. I need my strength becuase I have to work with my 15 year old son tommorrow and sometimes he gives me a headache becuase he doesn't like me being his mom and boss at the same time. I guess I am harder on him but I don't want everyone to say he gets special treatment and I want him to have work ethics for when he is older.

P.S.Boy, we really are starting to post alot. Since last night I had alot to catch up on. Okay, I'm tired because I am really going on and on again, SORRY! Night everyone.

Lorra

Okay, friendly, helpful, charming FFCers! One of our group has a need. Can one of you going to the parks before the cruise help Lorra out? She didn't ask, so I'll ask for her. Lorra, if no one can do this, would you settle for me getting one for you after the cruise and then mailing it to you when we get hom Sunday 9-25?

Okay here are two quotes.....funny!
******You know we're sitting on four million pounds of fuel, one nuclear weapon and a thing that has 270,000 moving parts built by the lowest bidder. Makes you feel good, doesn't it? ******
******Okay, so the scariest environment imaginable. Thanks. That's all you gotta say, scariest environment imaginable*****
Same movie...anyone?

Shmora, Where do you get the presses coins, I mean specifically where. I am not sure which parks we are doing on Friday but if we do MGM I will do my damndest to get you one. We are on such a tight schedule (4 parks in 1 2/3 days) that we will be flying so the more information you give me (and the more reminders...won't bother me at all, It will either happen or it won't :) so feel free to keep reminding me) the better. Tell me what coin I need and if you remember where the machine is great. Like I said I'm not sure we are going there before but I will sure try.
Karen, That movie looks cute, glad it is. Homeschooling is paying off if your five year old knows that word!!! I have to look it up!

No Worries... Easy one! Lilo and Stitch!

I guess my Madagascar quotes were too easy, too. Way to go.

Jenny, I actually did think about PoC, but didn't remember the line, so didn't guess that. Wiping the bootprints off my booty now. :rotfl2:

Jen, I'm guessing Armageddon. Loved that movie. Joel loves to quote movie lines... and the "commercials" before the movie include one for Fandango (online tickets). What was hiliarious was his timing. I suppose he could always go into standup if he wants.

Lorra, I am sure we'll hit MGM one of the 2 days we'll be in the parks. I can try to get a pressed coin for you. (If you wind up with too many, I'll keep it for us!)

Just finished watching "Numb3rs" for the first time (we don't watch much tv here) and I think I am hooked. I love mystery/science/forensics shows. Probably a good thing we don't have cable; we'd all watch way too much tv. As it is, I spend every available second here.

Karen

we are fairly certain to go to MGM as well and we collect the coins too.

new quote.

"if you tell me you're a super mega lightening babe that's alright with me. i'm good. i'm good."

you'll notice a reoccuring theme in any quotes from me...

"Wanna beer?"

"It's 7 o'clock in the morning!"

"Scotch?"

I think this is an easy one.........we will see?

Hope everyone is doing well. Off to another busy day. MIL already called this morning to say she is ready for the cruise! I know a few of us who are ready for this cruise. Raise your hand if you are ready to take this cruise? :earseek: WOW that is a lot of hands.

I must never watch movies. I don't know many of the quotes, well the old ones are better for me. I tend to fall asleep now, after I had kids movies fell off the priority list.

Have a great weekend,
Missy

Hi to all! I'm still lurking around the boards a bit. Was planning a Thanksgiving trip to WDW actually. Now that i'm done with that I can focus on the cruise! Could someone please fill me in again. You guys certainly are post-a-holics! I can't believe 109 pages and we've still got 7 weeks before we go! I'll try to stop by more often to post and look forward to meeting you guys on board. BTW when are our meets? I remember reading a few that were planned.

TTFN
Tracy :cheer2:

Tracy,

Check out my signature line for links to the "all you ever needed to know about the upcoming DCL cruise". :) Also Jen's sig has a link to the store to buy FFC supplies. If you don't understand that, read my post in the sig line and you will. :)

Back to class (on break)...

NoWorries... got it. Incredibles. :teeth:

Missy, not so easy!! Had to google it, so I won't answer. But that's an OLD one! Haven't seen it in years and years. My favorite quote from that movie is the one about trying to "score an electric blanket" on the street. (There, maybe that will help anyone else who was stumped.) :maleficen

I wasn't planning on getting up at my usual early time this morning, not after turning out the lights shortly before 1am, but the dog woke me up to go outside.

I think we're taking the kids to Six Flags Marine World today; it's only 15 minutes away and we haven't been yet. :jumping1:

Karen

Hey all! Tracy, always good to hear from you. Let me know if you still have some questions about meets. We will firm stuff up as it gets closer.
The posting has really increased, you are right. We are just having to much fun!
We are going to see "Must Love Dogs" before dinner tonight. It looks so cute! I hope it is.
Not much else going on tonight. Karen, you were right, it was Armagedon. I LOVE that movie and Owen Wilson is hilarious!
I forgot to ask, does anyone want money from Colorado? :rotfl2: I know Jenny and Sue ($2.00). I would like to collect some money from each state. We are collecting the bills though. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I just got home from work again. I am very tired of working, I have two more days and then I got one off. I am working alot trying to get as much money together for our trip as possible. I thank everyone for saying they would get me a coin, I think the penny machine was in the shop on your way out of the Backlot Tour.

Wow, NoWorriesMate, you have all kinds of coins. That is so neat. Well, our time before our vacation is ticking down now, before we know it we will be on our cruise. I just can't wait for my mom to see the ship it has been a very long time, I mean maybe twenty years, since she had a real vacation. We take a vacation every year so I couldn't imagine not having a vacation for that long. I mean they go to Atlantic City for a day or two and she goes with me and my sister to Lancaster every year over night but that is the extent of it but she never complains about it. I just hope my step father isn't crabby and ruin it for her because sometimes he gets miserable. I really think he will be bored and not have fun but I think he said yes because she wanted to go and spend time with the kids and to get away so I thank him for that. I just hope my kids are around to be with her though because last year the kids were always away from us.

Well, I need to think about what I'm going to make for supper so talk to you later.

Lorra

This will be our 2nd cruise on the Magic but our 1st Eastern cruise with DCL.
My hubby is about to return from Iraq and we are really looking forward to a vacation even though it will mean taking my DS out of school for a week :teacher: There is so much great info here, I'm so glad that I found it!

Tia,

Welcome! We'll all be privileged to have a soldier aboard. Tammy's DH is retired military too, so he may have someone like-minded to play with now! Check out my signature line for links to the pertinent info. :teeth:

I have no idea on the quote. You got me! I googled it and have NEVER heard of it.

Not much else to report. DSis and I went to see "The Island" today. It was a good movie - more violent than what I expected, and certainly more disturbing, but good. Then we went a cook-out with church friends. Good times!

I'm off to shop at Target online to get a cooler backpack. I don't want to get the rolllng cooler from Disney Direct.

I'll probably check back later. :)

I just bought our shirts off of cafepress. Because the thread's been quiet tonight, I just send the $5 off coupon to the first five families with an email address listed on Jen's spreadsheet: Emily, Wendy, Missy, Brad, and Michelle. Not sure whether or not you guys bought already. When I got my $5 coupon before, I didn't use it in time. It expires in just a couple of days.

Night all!

Tia, Welcome from another military cruiser! My dh is active duty Air Force. This is our second cruise on the Magic and our second Eastern (we love the sea days).

We did NOT go to Six Flags today. We got the tickets from the base ticket office, but the line to park was so bakced up, we decided to wait for a weekday, either next Tuesday or when my husband gets back from a TDY to Washington, DC, in August.

I've gotta go make dinner...

Karen

Tia.........welcome aboard. My DH was as well military, oh so long ago he was a grunt in the USMC.

Jenny..........showing my age, thanks for reminding me. LOL

Gotta run,

Missy

Welcome Tia! Glad to have you! Paul's wife is military to. We thank all of them for taking such good care of us and keeping us safe!
We went and saw "Must love dogs" tonight. It was cute. For the type of movie it was I would say it was good and enjoyable, not fantastic but good. I saw the Island last weekend. I didn't really like it. I'm glad you enjoyed it more than me. It seemed like my type of movie totally but I found the first part to be boring and the last part way violent. That is my movie review for today :goodvibes :goodvibes

 to all of the newcomers! Tia, Renee, Tracy(again?). Good to have you here!

I can't believe all of the movie posts. Ever since I had DD I have only been to the movies once or twice. You guys have me stumped!

DD is going to help me type now. Let's see what she comes up with! :bride: :love2: :maleficen :hourglass :love1: :wizard: :maleficen :grouphug: :guilty: :earseek: :bounce: Now I need Jenny to come up with a good story on her selection!

Sweet Sue

WELCOME TIA!!!! :cheer2:

Jen, I'll trade $ for $..

Something scratched my left eye yesterday and I've been down till this morning, still a little one eyed jack... when I was laying in bed trying to make the meds work DH told me I know the worst part of it for you is not being able to visit the boards..when he finds out I posted this morning through the tears rolling down my face, (because of the computer light) He will know I'm getting better. Eye is better today just very sensitive to everything...... He really should have seen me trying to read all the posts to catch up. :earseek: Didn't realize that we are indeed an active group. Well that is about all I can do for now. Will talk later, take care all
