Sept 17 2005 Magic - am i alone on the ship?

Steve- Guess I won't start dinner yet. Don't forget to bring home the list.

Ok- I have another one. "Thank you, sir. May I have another."
This movie is probably 30-35 years old. Anyone?

I didn't see Steve's second post before I posted my last one but, the movie he is talking about is the same one I was refering to. I was just thinking of a different scene.

Ok people, it has become obvious to me that me, Jen, Trisha, and Karen have nothing better to do than quiz each other on movie quotes.

They came!!! Our passports came today!!!! And five days earlier than we were told!!! Our government did something on time. Early for that matter.

Later everyone,
Emily

Karen- Animal House was the movie Steve and I were thinking of but, now that I think about it, that line was probably in Oliver Twist also.

Emily- When we got our passports it was about 2 weeks early. I was amazed as well.

OH, I was wrong... In Oliver Twist, it was "Please sir, may I have some more?"

Now when I think of "Thank you, may I have another," I keep thinking of Church Lady from Saturday Night Live, when she gave Rob Lowe a spanking...

Where is Christal???? You whooooo Christal.

Speaking of cell phones and room numbers. Here are those I don't have....if that's the way you want it great, if not heads up. This is only if you want in on any h****** stuff (changed plans, heads up)

Christal - room and cell
Karen (KD)(skycon) - room and cell
Emily - cell
Wendy - cell
Paul - cell
Karen (nursegardner) room and cell
Tammy (new room number)
Ragdoll - cell
John - room and cell
Lisa - both
Goofyboots - both
Tracy - both
Tammy G - cell
Winmo - room

Here's what I know about hotels:
Hyatt - Missy, Wendy and John
Pop - Shmora, Jen, Getoutthere, Paulmc80 and I think Christal
Arriving that day - Donaldsgal, Rotary, SweetSue, Donna (ragdoll)

There are a lot of people at the Hyatt and Pop (or arriving that day)...just a thought as far as h***** stuff goes.

This kills me!

You were playing one of my all time favorite games on one of the few days I was busy all day at work!

Don't mess with the bull - Breakfast Club. And I knew all of those except the Harry Potter reference. And a couple of quotes from A Few Good Men.

My favorite quotes usually involve making my voice funny or hand motions. How about this one (we saw this movie for the first time on our 4 night DCL cruise on the Wonder and it became one of our all time favorites!):
"First I'll turn him into a flea. Then I'll put the flea in a box. Then I'll put that box inside another box. Then I'll mail that box to myself. And when it arrives - HAHAHAHA - I'll smash it with a HAMMER!"

or for a less feel-good movie quote...
Well-known actor #1: You mean, there never was a Roy?
Well-known actor #2: Oh, c'mon Marty. If that's what you think, I'm disappointed in you, I don't mind telling ya. There never was an Aaron, counselor."

Today was a good day at work. I think I actually helped someone. :goodvibes

Congrats on the passports. I just sent for mine yesterday. I don't think I'll get it today like you all. :)

Not much else to say. Just wanted to play the game. Course you're all family people and probably are playing with the kiddos or talking to the hubbies, so you might not play now. Oh well - I'll post guesses to myself!

Jen, we're only at POP the Saturday night we disembark. We're hoping to be to the World by 11 or 12 on Saturday and leaving Sunday around 4 to start the flight home at 6:40 I think?

Anyways, off to watch Brat Camp. I LOVE that show! :)

I forgot to say we're doing Golden Eagle Catamaran at St. Maarten. I can't remember who said they were doing this one, but we are and it looks like fun! You can see the company's website at http://www.sailingsxm.com/explorer.htm.

And since I posted, I thought I'd throw out a few quotes from one of my all time favorite movies (an 80s flick):
"We have STAAAAAAAAAAAAIRS, honey!"
"How long is it going to take?" "Two weeks." "Two weeks? Two weeks?" "You sound like a parrot - two weeks, two weeks."
"Let's try BRAD! Brad brad bo-bad, banana-fanana mo-mad, me my mo mad BRA-AD."

Okay, I promise not to do this too much.

Jenny, I know the roy one but I will let others guess as....well....I cheated! I "fear" I will give to much away :rotfl2:
Here is a hilarious one (once again Wendy, you should get this one)
***True love is hard to find, sometimes you think you have true love and then you catch the early flight home from San Diego and a couple of nude people jump out of your bathroom blindfolded like a ******* magic show ready to double team your girlfriend...*** :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Old School! Makes me want to watch it. Oh, I own it, maybe I will

And I knew the Animal House one.

My DD is sick. Fever, don't know why. I'm suppossed to go with girlfriends to the lake house this weekend, and I'm already worried abt leaving her.

Wendy, I'm sorry DD is sick. I hope she feels better soon.

Also, to answer your question from long long ago, you can wait to pay me on the ship. The signs are $2 each. Hopefully that's okay to one and all. Payment plans are doable.

Jen, good one on the movie quote. :) Any guesses from the peanut gallery?

Later all!

Wendy, I hope DD gets better soon. princess: :wizard: Here's a little pixie dust snet her way. I hate it when the little ones are sick.

Jenny, congrats on making someone life better today, your going to do great in this field. :goodvibes

Jen, I'll try and find out my new room number tomorrow, I'll send TA an e-mail in a few min.

Looks like you guys were shooting bullets today on all your movie quote's :earseek: Wish I had more time to watch them and my memory is just GONE!!! :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a good night. Double checked have everyones birth C. wish I had passports...(so much eaiser) oh...well....soon (next trip for sure!)

Looks like we're alone at the Radisson...hopefully not for long.

Hey does anyone want to get together Friday evening for a drink by the pool side? :drinking1 It can also be soda for you non drinkers.

I have been away for quite some time. Always reading just don't post.

How about this one.... "you had me at Hello" - my favorite but hate the actor.

I can't believe the cruise is right around the corner. I am sending my p/w away thurs or friday for me and the kids' passports. I hope I get them before the cruise. What do you all think? I read that some of you just got them.

Jerry Maquire! Love that movie and love hearing from you. Keep popping in! How's Florida?

Wendy, I knew you would know that!

Florida is starting to feel like home. This new life transition/move has been the hardest thing I have ever done. The positive is that it has been the best thing I have ever done for me alone and my family. I am currently not working so I am enjoying the sun and my kids. I started a diet so I could get ready for the cruise. Okay I lost 5 pounds and gave up. My sister is visiting me so diet is on hold. DH and I have a babysitter for the first time in 4 months. No time to be watching what I am eating. We have been out to dinner alone w/ no kids. Didn't want to eat only salad.

Next Wed I start again with my lifestyle eating change (better than diet) and go back to my personal trainer. He kicks my butt everytime I run back to him. Now I think he just likes seeing me sweat and almost faint from exhaustion. I figured if I can lose a pound a day that is a easy 35 pounds before the cruise. It seems reasonable. Right?

Well, happy planning to all..... :wave2:

Movie line.. here's another. Have you ever been so mad at someone and wanted to say:

"I should tear your eyes out right now, but how would you ever be able to look at yourself in the morning?"

Loved this movie too! Don't know.. here is another line from the same movie

"Question how does a girl who falls, no actually jumps eyes wide open, down a rabbit hole, plummeting into chaos come out unchanged?" "She doesn't"

Good night

KD
