mom2Kyle said:hey! I have a quick question, for those of you who have made magnets for your doors, what size should I print my magnet on? I am doing a portal surround & my instinct is 8.5x11, probably vertical alignment. Any help???

Yes! FivePin/ Judy is a part of the Disney Cruise Brides forum! She mentioned she had a friend coming along! Be sure to stop me to say Hi when you see me- I'll be wearing white dresses the whole cruise!!
Well, Happy Anniversary to you! Yes, I'm getting married onboard on 9/14 while we're docked in Nassau! I'm terribly excited! DF and I are in Cabin #9674- I hadn't even thought to leave a fish extender (I'm already leaving large swag bags at each of my guests' staterooms, I don't have any available time or funds to participate in additional fish extenders unfortunately!) but I guess I could leave a bag by my door! Also, feel free to stop me to say "Hi"- I'll be wearing white dresses the whole cruise!
Thanks Trish! Now I can get the package ready to go! Wonder if it's too early to send this week?
21 days to go!
Annette
THANKS!!! Glad to know I was on the right track!

Magnets are so fun!! I just finished the additions to ours and then thought I lost our old ones and freaked out for a few minutesbut then I found them again.
Part of my FE gifts should arrive today & then I can start finishing them. We leave on 9/6 for our first part of this cruise (doing 4 day and then 3 day) so its only 2 more weeks for us.
About the plain canvas bags for use as FE's - Where can I get a plain canvas bag? Would Joann's or Micheals have them? I think I'm going to do the bag w/ a iron on graphic for my FE.
Tonight I have book club & I'm making this Chocolate Peanut Butter Torte.

Woohoo about your FE stuff coming! Mine was projected to arrive yesterday when I ordered it 2 weeks ago but it hasn't even been shipped yet! And all this after they ended up OOS on what I wanted but too late in the order process to cancel. And after they tacked on a $15 charge after I hit "buy". NOT happy!!!
Joann/Michael's should have the plain totes... they would be by the plain t-shirts and fabric paints and stuff.
What book are you discussing???
I got my canvas bag at Michaels. They also had some Disney ribbon and Disney felt material. I cut out a picture of Mickey and then turned the sides under and made the rest of the fabric into a throw blanket for the my nephew. When we arrived in Florida my girls wanted a little blanket too. So we stopped at Joann's to get Princess and Mermaid fabric to make their blankets.
Is anyone else having a difficult time concentrating on anything else besides the cruise? I did this last time as well. I had an entire year to be OCD last time. At least this time we booked less than 2 months out so my craziness time is condensed down into this small window![]()
Everyone keeps asking me what day it is (on the countdown) !!!! They are just as excited for the cruise as we are!
Annette
Everybody keeps asking me for the countdown, too! I have a hard time remembering to tell them the day of my ceremony, not the day of embarkation since that's what they really want to know!!
LOL! Both exciting things!
I bought my canvas bag from Joann's today (thanks guys!!) and a glitter iron-on transfer that I can print a graphic on w/ my printer. The bag was only 97 cents at Joann's (it was on clearance) and the iron on transfer was $7.99 for 2 sheets - so not too bad. Plus I'll have a lot of fun deciding what to print on it.![]()
Has anyone else done iron-on printer transfers before? Its my first time and it seems pretty straightforward, but if you have any pointers, I'll take them!![]()
Oh, lordy lordy, do I know what I'm doing with iron on transfers!! If you check out my PJ, near the end are photos of my guests' swag bags, each with iron on transfers! Unfortunately, the "dark fabric" transfer paper was $20 for 10 sheets! Ouch! What I wound up doing (since I have 26 bags) I just printed two on each page. I had a logo made for me by some DISigners (more info on that in my PJ) and I just uploaded it into Microsoft word, put two on a page, then I printed a TEST sheet on normal paper first. We had a few issues when we tried using the "transfer paper" setting, so we just had to print it regularly! Your iron-on transfer paper will have directions, just read them carefully and follow them! Mine provided a piece of parchment paper, after you've printed and cut out the image, you peel off the backing, place it where it needs to go, put the parchment paper on top and iron. Don't iron it for too long or the transfer can bleed or burn! Luckily I had enough for practiceI kept the iron moving at all times making sure each part got equal amounts of heat. I hope that was useful! Let me know if you have any questions!
