Aw Mike, so sorry I can't be there. Just won't be the same without your very soon to be mother-in-law. :lmao: Enjoy your last mother-in-law free evening!

So what happens with the cruise and this storm that is building up? Does Disney cancel? I really hope and pray that it goes away! DH said already that he wouldn't want to go if its raining.

:scared1: Storm? What storm? I have been too busy to watch any news. DCL will not cancel. They will do their best to avoid bad weather. The only way that they would cancel is if a hurricane was hitting PC. Even then they would have to move the ship to a safe port and would more than likely just have everyone board there.

I have been on quite a few cruises during the height of hurricane season. Really, it is safer on the ship than on land because the ship will avoid a hurricane. I am a huge worrier. DD and her DF will vouch for that. But I really would advise you not to worry about it. We will all have a blast!:thumbsup2

Now, do tell about this storm you speak of...

It is Tropical Storm Maria. They say it is too soon to determine if it is going to hit the Bahama's or the US.

I am not too worried about it. I am not going to let any tropical storms ruin my trip. I know that Disney won't sail to those places and who knows where they will take us. I am more concerned with it hitting the US since we live off the coast of VA.

Yes, even if we end up with four sea days there will be plenty to do and see on board. The Dream looks gorgeous!:goodvibes

Thanks! you guys give me some relief. This would be my 2nd cruise, so not sure how this all goes. MARIA STAY AWAY!
About it hitting the us, I hear you on that. I live in Tampa, FL and we at least get winds from the storms that are passing us. So hoping it would just die down before hitting here.

I agree. I am hoping that Maria stays away like Katia did. In one week we had Irene and an earthquake. It was interesting.

DH and I just got home from our last day of work and ready to begin our vacation. We leave Columbus at 8:05 am on Fri for Orlando and WDW for 2 nights at CSR! DH is afraid it is going to rain too. I told him to think positive, we sailed between 2 hurricanes last year on the Wonder and had great weather.

Sorry to have anyone repeat this, but when and where will there be a disboards meet on the ship?

Hi everyone here is the info on the DIS meet:
3 pm on embarkation day in the atrium around the panio. Please wear your t-shirt or leis, whichever you perfer. Then once everyone has arrived we can gather around the staircase for a group photo. Looking forward to meeting you all.
