No rhyme nor reason that I have ever noticed over the years! Seems like many cabins left! We have never sailed this time of year and really interesting to see how we like September.

I keep anticipating a VGT type sale for our cruise ... I wonder if it is coming to that

We booked 8C gty

We are waiting (not so patiently) on a 5E gty.

Plus we have never done an oceanview - always have had verandahs - so it will be a new experience for us. Since we are also doing late dining and have always done early this whole cruise will be different then all prior

I don't know but ts been all over the place today. One minute it's down to like $2,000 for an inside room and there are 11C inside rooms available, the next time I go onto the site its up to $2400 for ocean view and there are no inside rooms left.

Well, I had to call DCL directly but I finally have my Palo dinner reservation. The website kept cancelling my Port Adventure because the return time was too close to the reservation time. I would like to squeeze in a Palo Brunch too but I'll see if I can do that on board since those were pretty much gone when I could book.

Dolphin Swim & Turtle Farm in Grand Cayman
Chacchoben Ruins in Costa Maya
Secret River in Cozumel

What excursions are you doing?

Well, I had to call DCL directly but I finally have my Palo dinner reservation. The website kept cancelling my Port Adventure because the return time was too close to the reservation time. I would like to squeeze in a Palo Brunch too but I'll see if I can do that on board since those were pretty much gone when I could book.

I hope we feel the same way, I am worried ! However early dining found me always rushing and never really eating lunch (aside from ice cream and pizza)

www.cruisefish.net shows 64% of the cabin categories still open. I know that really doesn't mean a thing. I check it out every once in a while. It's been as low as 43%. I think it's odd that the categories can pop in and out every day. There was a couple weeks back in May where all inside and oceanview categories were closed. Now most are open on any given day. The 8/18 cruise is at 90% and 8/26 is at 96% right now.

I didn't go into each category and check, just saw that they were available. I know a few weeks back, Inside and OV were sold out. Maybe people canceled earlier this week when final payment was due?

Oh thank you for replying!!! I just worry how this is set up that some good information might get lost in the mix... I want new peeps to be able to read all things and especially tips and such but not sure why we are using two threads for conversation. I don't care if people can make a meet onboard or not... The whole point is to enjoy the preparation and learn some possible good tips along the way. I will copy and past this to the other thread as well I guess because I do see this is double working LOL!!! FOr example I might be letting go of a BBB appointment and a Palo Dinner and I want someone else to be able to snatch it up... Regardless if they are FE meet n greet or just checking boards for good help!!!!!

My family and luvmykids are doing the ruins in costa maya too.

We did this I think about 5 years ago!!! We had a wonderful time and a great guide... I did not do the Disney Excursion but instead we went as a huge group from the Disboards... HOWEVER with such a small window in port I am inclined to stick with Disney Excursions!!!!!

The xrail dune buggy's are soooooo much fun in Cozumel and I keep going back and forth if I want to do them again!!!

I think you will really like your GC excursions!!!! Our entire family had a blast!!! The bus ride was even informative...
We are doing the Atlantis Sub in GC for the first time!
Costa Maya I have ATV excursion but not sure really yet if we are going to keep it!
Secret River I want to do but I am not a fan of the ferry to the mainland and how long the travel time adds up! LOL
Cozumel we are signed up for Fury Catarman for the whole family!!!(DH really wants those XRAILS again though and is trying to bribe me to switch)
Disney CC - My DS Layne always does teen excursion and DH and DS Lance fish first thing in the morning!
