Sensible Abbreviations for All-Star resorts

The Passporter Guide uses just two-letter codes:
MO for All-Star Movies
MU for All-Star Music
SP for All-Star Sports

Why don't we all do the same?
I'm not easily offended, but I am easily amused by all the people using ASSp or worse for the last of these.

I'm with you. While not easily offended I am still always surprised to see some abbr. now and then. I've always assumed that it was an inside joke that started way before I started reading the forums.

Maybe its just me and my warped sense of humor, but I always chuckle when I see the abreviations.
I say keep em the way they are! I need a laugh every now and then.

I'll admit the abbr. is pretty harmless and we are all grown-ups here but what does bother me a lot more is the language that people use at the theme parks, on buses, etc. Not just teenagers but adults too. Parents using profanity to yell at their kids. The "F" word used to describe how cool a ride is at WDW. Good grief. It is especially upsetting when little ones or elderly are there to hear it. So the post touched a nerve.

How, in a company the size of WDW, someone doesn't stop to think, "If we name it this, how will people abbreviate it? Or what else will they nickname the place?"

In a similar vein, Bank One spent millions to get their name on Bank One Ballpark, and everyone calls it The Bob. :lol:

Could be worse. Until Wachovia Bank merged with First Union Bank and the name was changed, home ice for the Phila. Flyers was the First Union Center! Oooooh! What were they thinking!
