Does anyone know if there is still a Senior Hotel Discount available? I saw some mention of it on a few sites, but I can't seem to find anything recent. Thanks!
If you are flexible with your dates, you can stay within a week either way of Dapper Day for 50% off. See their website for dates--fall is something like Sept 13 and spring is usually in March www.dapperday.comThanks everyone! Looks like the best we can do so far is the additional Orbitz discount code to stay on-site.
Then again, one may prefer to stay on site and be willing to pay for it, but try to get the best rate possibleOr one may be happy with a decent, off site hotel. And be grateful for it.![]()
If one is participating in Dapper Days. Otherwise one is not eligible for their event rate. Then again, one may prefer to stay on site and be willing to pay for it, but try to get the best rate possible![]()

All Disney convention and event rates require that someone in the party attend or participate in the event. Lax enforcement does not mean that the requirement doesn't exist. The OP never said they couldn't afford it, they were just looking for the best discount.
No, you don't have to participate in DD to get the rate. I agree with Gisele, though, that it would be the fair thing to do. I use it myself because I am a DD fan and the rooms, IMO, should go to DD people. However, it is not (at this time) an event that requires any attendance at meetings (since there aren't any, other than some ticketed events that could not accommodate everyone). You only have to register through the website and that's it.

True, but in the case of Dapper Day, going to Disneyland is attending. There is nothing else you have to do other than register through the website because there isn't anything else, at least not yet.All Disney convention and event rates require that someone in the party attend or participate in the event. This is absolutely true. I, myself, can afford it but refuse to pay full price because I think it's too high, so in my case (and I know I'm not the only one) I look for a discount for philosophical reasons and not because I can't pay.I never said the op had stated that.
Sometimes people are looking for the best discount because they otherwise cannot afford reasonably the cost of X.
Many people say they can afford X, but in reality cannot. As a result, they go in debt or deeper into it. No hotel is worth that in my opinion.
