First off I just want to say that as summer draws to a close I am finally in full on Disney trip planning mode and it feels so good! This morning DD2 took a link off of our paper chain countdown and we only have 64 days to go :cool1: We are staying in a 1 bedroom Savannah view at AKV and it will be our first time spending a whole week at the World. Needless to say I am pumped!

Now that planning is in full swing, I was wondering if anyone had experience sending themselves a package. I am in NJ and we will be arriving on a Saturday afternoon. Our first night is at BLT and then we move to AKL on Sunday. I was thinking of ordering diapers and other supplies for my DD from Diapers.com and sending it directly to the resort. Has anyone done this before?

Has anyone ever shipped themselves a package before from home? I'm wondering when I should get it in the mail to make sure it is waiting for me at BLT.

Thanks everyone!

::yes::yes i have always sent myself packages. name, resort name, you may wish to put your arrival date (ex 9/2/12-9/10/12), and the resort address. My packages arrived very quickly. The postal service also has a flat rate priority ship box that you can fit & send for that flat rate. A large box is $15, medium $11. Works well for us!

Make sure that you address it to Jambo or Kidani which ever one you are staying at. All carriers have a time in transit table that will tell you pretty close how long it will take. US Mail can take a little longer because all mail is sorted first at Disney before being sent to the resorts.

I have shipped formula from amazon to kidani, wilderness and blt. At blt, the package went to their business center and they charged me a $5 handling fee for me to pick up my package (i had to go to the conference center to get it). There was no charge at kidani or wilderness. It seems that if the resort has a business center, the package goes to the business center and they charge the $5 fee. So based on your plans you may want to ship to kidani and pick it up when you get there.

There's a sticky at the top of the resorts board with info about shipping and which resorts charge fees, addresses, etc.

I do every trip send a box from home and then any other stuff I order thru garden grocer.com and it is there when I arrive. then the box I sent down is there to send things back home in as I take my tape and labels and take to front desk of resort and mail it home
