Horrific shooting today at Charles University in Prague. DeutscheWelle is reporting 15 deceased and the shooter is also dead. Incredibly tragic day for a city that rarely sees this level of violence.

My sympathy to those who suffered. This is just horrible. I was just there yesterday and thinking of those oeople we may have passed on the street.

I was reading about this. DH was in Prague a few years ago and loved it, so of course it has caught our attention. We also have a good friend from Czech who is horrified that the craziness of America is working its way to his homeland.

I was in Prague a year ago October. I had a wonderful time. Never felt concerned for my safety, even at night, and even in a country that I was visiting for the first time and didn't speak much of the language. My heart is breaking for those people. I also remember my Polish students telling me that they didn't want to visit America because of the violence, and now it's in their backyard.
