Does anyone mail a box to their resort ahead of time?? We did this last trip and I felt it was the best $15 I ever spent. Traveling with a 3 year old and a 5 month old we had way too much gear. Now that the kids are 2 and 5 I thought it would be better and we'd just use our luggage and have more room for souveniers coming home.

But I'm now seeing how much stuff we have (full pack of diapers, tub of wipes, lots of snacks, juice boxes, etc.) I'm thinking maybe we should do the box again because this stuff would probably require a full piece of luggage and the last thing I need getting thru the airport with 2 kids is more luggage, LOL!!!

Would you send the box down or try to fit everything in your luggage??

Send the box - especially if you won't need the suitcase to lug things home (diapers, wipes, etc. are disposable); that is, unless you'll buy tons of souvenirs - might come in handy!

We always use the Curbside check-in so we are not even going into the airport with our luggage. Starting in M ::MinnieMo ay Disney is getting your luggage for you.

I ALWAYS ship a box down and bring an extra suitcase!

You see, Tinkerbell has her nightly gifts she brings and I send handi snacks, cereal and such. Juice boxes can be a tricky thing so be sure to wrap and re-wrap them. We have a towncar pick us up (and even with the new Magical Express which we will be skipping just so we can get our grocery stop) so we get that juice boxes, water, fruit and diary.

How early does everyone ship their packages? Which carrier do you use (USPS, UPS, Fedex)?

TIA!

Last time I shipped it via the USPS parcel post, which takes about 3-5 days to arrive. The resort will tell you to try not to have it arrive too early, just a day or two before your arrival. You should call them ahead of time to find out the exact address and what info they want on the outside of the box (usually your conf # and arrival date).

Thanks for the replies... I think I will ship the box. We use curbside check in as well, but even getting to the curb can be a hassle with extra baggage. We drive to the airport and have to park a million miles away, take a shuttle bus, etc. I think it will be nice to send down some of the stuff that won't be returning home with us.
