Send a letter to a Disney princess?

Does Disney still do this and send a response back? If so, how long is the turn around, we go on our trip in three weeks? Also, any boy characters that will work?

I'm just looking for details. Sorry if this had been discussed before, I tried searching and I guess I want using the right keywords.

My class of preschoolers just sent a letter Cinderella at the disney land address:
Walt Disney Company
Attn: Fan Mail Department
500 South Buena Vista Street
Burbank, CA 91521

It took about two months to come back and, inexplicably, Mickey and friends wrote back .It was a sweet semi-personalized letter with postcards for the kids... but we wrote to Cinderella, not Mickey! The kids were still excited by the mail though.
