Here's a senario that I'd like to run by you and anyone else who may know. I have a Senior Girl Scout Troop who is planning a trip to WDWand DCL in June 2004. My assistant leader's hubby is retired Air Force and she said she can get us up to three rooms (yes, she is going) that have max capp. of 15 (there are 11 of us).
We would also want the LOS passes, or whatever they are called now. When the time comes, will she be allowed to do this? We are planning 5 days at wdw and the 3 night cruise. Any help you all could give us would be greatly appreciated!!:D

If you stay at any WDW resort, including Shades of Green which is owned by the government and reserved exclusively for active and retired military personnel and thier guests, you can buy the Length of Stay passes at the resort (the passes are now called "Ultimate Park Hopper Passes"). In fact, it is better to buy them at the resort rather than as a part of a package that includes room and the tickets. At the resort, they will let you leave off day of arrival or departure. As part of a package bought in advance, you cannot do that and pay for the pass that includes arrival and departure. Thus, if you don't need a pass for that first or last day you can save some money by buying at the resort.

As to getting 3 rooms that hold five apiece, the Shades of Green do that if your friend is going through the military to get those rooms. Also, sometimes Shades of Green is full and the military person can go to overflow and end up at the Contemporary or other deluxe that holds 5 to a room.

Yep! You (she) can do that. Our LOS passes are called "Stars&Stripes passes." Same thing, different name.

We no longer have packages (for the 2nd poster). I assume we will get the Gold Leaf package back, once we start booking our own hotel again. :)

That was exactally what I needed to know!! I feel better now. I don't want to cheat, you know what I mean?
