Been tempted for a while to do a PTR but thought it might be too early and people would think I was mad. Then I saw everyone else was doing them and remembered we are all disney mad on here so no one would think it was odd :lmao:

Our trip will be 30th May - 3rd June staying at the Cheyenne. Trying to stick to school holidays now our oldest is at school.

There will be me and DH who have been to Disney quite a few times before we had kids. I converted him as he'd never been before we met :rotfl:
DD who is 4 but 5 when we go loves all princesses especially Jasmine, high school musical and Mickey and Minnie. DD who is 2 loves everything her big sister likes!

The trip is sort of a surprise our girls know Mickey Mouse will invite them back sometime when it gets warmer (last time we went it was the winter) but they don't know exactly when we will surprise them on the morning we go. I have bargain hunted tirelessly for the last few months so the girls have new disney clothing for everyday (including pants and socks!) and each have had/will have a new princess dress for their birthdays. So there will be more surprises when they open their suitcases.

Brief plans

29th May - Travel to London by train then get the Eurostar to Paris (paid for by airmiles) and RER/shuttle bus to Explorers for the night (found a fab deal that made it cheaper than other budget hotels with easy access to public transport!)

30th May - Book into Cheyenne and spend the day in the Main park. Then dinner at CAFE Mickey (surprise for everyone) I decided to do lots of character dining this time as kids loved meeting the characters probably more than anything else last time we went and I don't like character scrums!

31st May - hopefully EMH but not sure we'll make it as DD (5) hates mornings and no way after the trantrums last time we went :scared1: am I waking her just to get to EMH. Then Studios Go to Blockbuster cafe HSM side (think that's the right place anyway)
Then Buffalo Bill in the evening

1st June - Hopefully EMH in the main park before going back to the hotel in the afternoon to encourage girls to have a nap as we are going to the Princess and Pirate party that evening :cheer2:

2nd June - Ascension day :) always seem to end up in disney on a bank holiday or unknownly a european school holiday so used to it. Probably a lazy morning and lots of shows and taking things at a slow pace. Unless there are any dire reviews will also try the new Character buffet at Cowboy cookout. Probably wander round the village as well.

3rd June our last day :sad1: Do anything we enjoyed in the previous days before a late lunch at Auberge as girls loved it last time and husband is a fan of masterchef so gets excited about the food! :rotfl2: Then last shopping/attractions before getting the RER to Val d'europe and the Sejours & Affaires for the night.

4th June RER to Paris and Eurostar to London then train home.

Really excited about some of the magic moments stuff they are advertising.

Great to see another PTR. We are there exactly the same dates as you and our plans may turn out to be very similar too. It looks like I am lagging behind and need to get my report started soon.

Yay!!! Another PTR!!! :woohoo: As if anyone on here would think you were odd!! :rotfl2:

Sounds like a fab trip!! I'm looking forward to the new magical moments too, and keeping an eye out for the reviews of Cowboy Cookout! :thumbsup2

So, which new princess dresses are your girls getting? princess:

Oldest one is having Ariel for her May birthday as she's wanted it for ages and Santa forgot to bring it!

Youngest one just had a Belle dress for her Birthday (which was yesterday).

Sounds like you are going to have a wonderful time:yay:.

Where did you get the Ariel dress?, dd is getting too small now so i will be on the hunt for a new one soon.

Looking forward to hearing more when you get back

Ahhh lovely! :wizard: My DD got Belle for Christmas and her BFF got her the Ariel Mermaid dress :cloud9: both courtesy of TK Maxx :thumbsup2 Ariel was a bargain £9.99 and Belle was £25.99 (RRP was £60:scared1:)

Happy Belated Birthday to your youngest! :cake:

Wanted to share my excitement with some people who would understand.

Firstly I have accidently paid in full for my disney trip already! :cool1: Was putting money aside to pay it off in March but was getting a bit worried as my credit card bills were higher than normal so couldn't put as much away as I wanted, investigated why my bills were so high and found its because disney had taken the rest of the money out over a month early! Which could have gone horribly wrong but has ended up being really exciting cause now I can use the money I put aside for shopping and eating when over there :cool1:

Secondly booked our train tickets to london and managed to upgrade to first class for only 5 extra each  never travelled first class before so that's exciting.

And lastly I've come up with a plan to tell my daughters that we are going to disney. I have video edited the current tv advert with clips from when we told them last time and a clip of us in the park and then added a invite page at the end. Not the best editing in the world but sure girls will love being on 'tv' they run and get me everytime they see the advert on tv so will hopefully be excited to see themselves in it. Am going to sneakily put it on in between one of their programmes the morning we go.:cheer2:

What a great way to tell your girls:goodvibes.

Doing some replanning now that disney have cancelled the Pirate and Princess Party :headache::mad: to try and make up for the disappointment (mainly mine as the girls didn't even know about it!)

First two days will stay as they were

1st June - Hopefully EMH in the main park before going back to the hotel in the afternoon to encourage girls to have a nap as we are going to the Princess and Pirate party that evening :cheer2:

We'll probably go to cowboy cookout for lunch on 1st now then stay around in the parks until our 'moment with the princesses and pirates in the old hurricanes disco that disney have planned to make up for cancelling the party. Then an early night so we may possibly make EMH the next day

Will try to make EMH now to avoid the bank holiday crowds them lots of shows etc and as the park is open until 10 a rest back at the hotel during the day. I thought dinner at inventions as a treat to make up for the party, I had been thinking about going here but decided against it as we already had two expensive meals planned. But hey will use our party refund to pay for most of it, and it is nearly our wedding anniversary which we haven't celebrated for the last 5 years since we've had kids. It's also easy to go back into the parks from Inventions so we can then stay in the parks until close hopefully

Then the rest of the trip as planned

3rd June our last day :sad1: Do anything we enjoyed in the previous days before a late lunch at Auberge as girls loved it last time and husband is a fan of masterchef so gets excited about the food! :rotfl2: Then last shopping/attractions before getting the RER to Val d'europe and the Sejours & Affaires for the night.

I feel your disappointment for the party, sometimes it's harder for the parents!!!

I feel your disappointment too:hug:. Your plans for your days look very like ours so we might see you there:rotfl:.

Sorry I meant to ask if you have heard anything about getting a refund for your tickets yet?

I know you get so caught up in everything being perfect when you are a parent and most of the time kids are happy to go with the flow :lmao:

Haven't heard anything at all from them!

We'll end up looking like we're stalking each other as we'll have listened to all the advice on here and be at all the best spots and rides etc at the same time :rotfl2:

Last year I managed to get someone from the boards in the background of one of the photos on my TR:rotfl:. Maybe one of us will repeat that trick this year:goodvibes

Had DD's 5th Birthday yesterday and a party for 36 - 4 and 5 year olds. :scared1:So now that's over I can get back to planning and sorting ready for our trip just 20 days til we leave :cool1:. I had to put disney out of my mind before her birthday or DD1 was in danger of not having any food for her party or the presents she asked for :lmao:

We had a fantastic disco lady running the party which made it go really smoothly and pretty stress free.

DD had a fab birthday thanks she got so many presents no idea where to put them all!
