semi-OT cry for help

After i log-in, i get an error about missing Xtra files. This is related to shockwave, but i am not getting help from them and i need my VMK. If there is anyone out there is DIS-land that is computer savvy (i am dumb in the bucket when it comes to this thing), please will you help me! I've already uninstalled and tried reinstalling, but i get another error.

Do you have a firewall or virus program running?
If so they may be blocking some of the files from installing properly
Turn them off and try reinstalling shockwave then.

ok this is what happened. Turned off firewall software that i know of. Tried to reinstall and this is what i got .... again.

Directer Player Error: this application requires an Xtra (flash movie) that either does not exist or failed to initialize properly. Please make sure the appropriate Xtras are in the Xtras folder(s).

i don't know where to find the Xtra folder to make sure the Xtra files are in it.

whoo hoo! i kept searching and found someone who had posted the same exact error, and someone else suggested installing a full version as the default installs a slim version. It worked! thank you thank you.
