sells child wrist leashes

onestepahead.com and mommyshop.com have them. WalMart, BRUS and Baby Depot usually have Gerber chest harnesses, and like all harness sets, you can use the rein as a wrist strap only if you wish.

You may want to buy a harness even if you don't initially plan on using the harness, just the strap. Many children can escape from the wrist straps very easily, and if you find you need it, it will be easy to switch to the full harness.
Also, a full harness allows you to stop the child from falling, which a wrist link cannot.

Regardless of what style rein you choose to use, you should shorten the rein strap to less than 3 ft. long. Longer than that and you create a trip hazard in a crowd.

Ive seen the cutest thing at Walmart. It was called a harness buddy. It was a lead (leash) attached to a teddy bear back pack for the tot to wear :paw:

My younger sister does not have a problem keeping the wrist link on nor does she like to run away it is just that she has a tendance to be in her own world and once she gets focused on one thing she does think about anything eles. She is ADHD and is currently on Aderial(spelling sorry) it helps a lot I just want to take the wrist leash as a littel reminder to her not to wonder off. She is a very very smart girl and she knows what to do if she gets lost but I'm so deathly scared of losing her I just can't take the chance. She is the only thing in this world that I love with all of my being.
