i
was thinking of trading in my 28-135 "refurbished aka botched by canon" lens...so nothing anyone here would want, although i would consider trading my canon efs 17-55mm kit lens for oh, say a nice 10-22, i'll throw in a couple of old film canisters which i found were
perfect to carry pressed disney pennies in...any takers????
the place i was considering trading it in at said it seems canon's "cleaning" included putting dust inside the element (so basically wanted to give me nothing for a 6 month old lens)
the canon tech i then talked to said could make it "less than sharp"

and i know it was sharp when i sent it in so i guess i will give canon chance #2 to fix it. i figured anyone would give me less for trade in than selling outright but hate selling stuff. i've bought stuff on ebay but never sold it although that probably is the way to go since i see stuff going on there that is way over the value, evidently due to the thrill of the auction...
i'll see what happens when i get it back and maybe i'll end up keeping it if it's ok...who knows at this point
i thought i'd be better off trading it in locally but wondered how the online places like b&h and keh worked and if they were decent to deal with or lowballed you
