As I recall (and I could be wrong), Yavn mentioned it in his newsletter some time ago. I heard a couple of people being banned from it but I know it does go on.

They never even said it was frowned upon. Yavn+co just said that this was not the intended use for the Quest Kiosk, no one got banned.

Really, they were just warning against people using this method because it is just easy for people to scam others. But as we usually do it through the DIS, we have such a close community that we can trust everyone. Although this is true, Lori and Mal do believe that people should exercise caution when trading credits. Just a 'be careful...'

So, yeah case closed, we're all good here. I am willing to risk my 'rare' items to get credits.
