Does anybody have any advice on how to sell a DVC contract without an agent? Where can the contract be advertised?

We own (details removed) and decided we'd rather have RIV than (details removed) so that we have an Epcot/HS area resort (I really would like BCV but would like a contract beyond 2042.

So, I'd prefer to not lose 8-10% on the value to switch resorts.

Thoughts?

I removed your resorts so this is not seen as a For Sale post..which is not allowed.

I have sold BWV to own RIV and have sold BLT to buy at VGF. For me, it was worth it

I have not had experience selling on my own though.

You likely would need to do a search on google honestly to figure out where you could post something like that. Maybe facebook as well?

Are you Facebook savvy? I occasionally see people list on specific Facebook pages for their resort - it seems to work well as long as you select a great title and escrow company. Join one of the groups and search sales and see if it would be something you’re interested in.

Maybe Ebay, although you’re likely to get a lot less selling there than through a broker because most aren’t going to bid on someone with no feedback selling timeshares on ebay. Even taking the broker’s commission into account you’re probably going to do better with a broker than trying to do it on your own. The only way you would probably do better on your own is if you were just selling to someone you know, and then you can sell to them at whatever the market rate appears to be less like 4.5 percent (so you both make out on the brokers fee).

You can also try to sell it through Timeshare Users Group Marketplace, but I still think you’ll end up doing better with a broker even accounting for the commission.

Facebook. There are groups that focus on this. I almost did a deal this way. Send an email to Mason and ask for an estimate of what closing will be. They will need the UY and points on the contract and an estimate of sales price.

The title company sends all the paperwork, NBD.

A friend of my daughter sold her contract to a coworker

I don’t have the details on how they arrived at the terms
