Selling Costumes?

I know the Dis Board rule about trying to sell things here, that's not what this post is about.

Yet his might be a fine line to walk, and I'm sorry if I've crossed it.

If you had a bunch of Disney store costumes to sell, where would you go to do it? The two that come to mind are eBay and Craigslist. I'm curious if anyone has had experience with either (or both) for this purpose.

Or another way to put it might be, if you were looking for a gently used costume for your kiddo, where would you shop for it online?

...

That seems safe enough, right? I'm not saying I have anything for sale and even if I were I haven't really said anything about what that might be.

I am, however, curious how one might go about selling something like I have described using parts of the internet OTHER than disboard; and we can assume I am interested in this purely for my own edification.

I bought my daughter's Halloween costume on E-bay but it was brand new/never worn. (Light up Cinderella dress with accessories.) I have had good luck selling and buying things locally on Craigslist but would probably look to E-bay to buy a costume. I have never sold anything on E-bay.

Ebay, craigslist, also on fb there are always local garage sale groups that sell things.

I have sold/bought Disney costumes on craigslist and at kid's consignment sales. Good luck!

Im glad you asked this! I was going to post for ideas on where to find a used boys pirate's outfit! Thanks!!

I bought ours from craigslist. I even looked at craigslist other cities/states for the ones I wanted. :)

I would see if you have any Facebook B/S/T pages for your area. This can often be the simplest and lets you avoid fees associated with ebay and paypal. Craigslist is often good for the same thing, but I tend to get more spam than actual buyers. If you don't have any luck there, you can list on Ebay. If your costume is something that is rare or you are trying to get a high price for then Ebay may be your best bet.
