Sell me on Coronado Springs...:butterfly

I have mostly stayed at deluxe resorts the past few years. Unofortunately, yacht and grand floridian are out of budget range for 10/11-10/18 and I am not hopeful that there will be a decent enough price to allow me to afford them.

That being said, I would love to know how romantic the Coronado resort is. My boyfriend and I will be staying there for the first time as a couple.

It is a big resort but I would also like to know what building is closest to the last pick up bus stop because on our way to the parks we would prefer a shorter ride. Thanks!

Hi Kristina,

We are staying at Coronado Springs Resort for our stay in September. I have never stayed there, but from what I hear it is pretty nice. It is a large resort, but I don't mind that at all. I have stayed 3 times at Saratoga Springs and once at Port Orleans Riverside, so a large resort doesn't scare me. There is a room only discount and the Free Dining promotion for your travel dates.

When we stayed at Coronado we absolutely loved it. If it was just my wife and I (without my daughter) we would definitely stay there, but my daughter likes the pool and food court at Caribbean Beach, so, well, you know how that goes. You will not be disappointed with Coronado...it is a beautiful resort. A hidden gem!

The last time we were at Coronado was in 09, so bear that in mind.

While I can't remember what buildings were where, I do remember very distinctly that at the time of our stay the buses actually started at stop #2 and then went around from there. Given the size of the resort, my dw and I preferred going to that stop so that we had a shorter wait for a bus. There were several times that we were full before making it to the last stop. However, we were there in December the week before Christmas, so while not the busiest time it was close.

However, given the size of the resort we were very surprised by how quiet it was during our stay, especially after hearing about some others. The grounds were beautiful and made for a nice walk in the evening if you weren't too tired. We aren't the sort to spend a lot of time in the resorts and we like to try new places each trip when possible, but if there was a great discount offered and there were only rooms at the Coronado remaining we would not hesitate for a second to go back.

So you would go to the #2 bus stop? How long was the full trip to say...MK or Epcot? Sorry, I know it was 09..

Yes, we went to #2 so that we could get on a usually empty bus. If it's a slower time of year this is much less of an issue but it was good for us to find out since it was the holidays. The ride itself was around 20-25 minutes, I think, but that's a guess since it's been so long.

I suppose the walk around the resort at night (or maybe sunrise/sunset) is pretty but I find POR to be much more romantic. We stayed at POFQ but visited POR. So beautiful. We stayed at Coronado last year and didn't care much for the atmosphere.

I apologize, I was looking at September and not October. You are right those promotions are not available on your travel dates.
