Selfish question:?

My mistake, I apologize. Everest is 44" to ride so the only issues would be with Rock & Rollercoaster and Primeval Whirl.

I first took DD when she was 5 and she wasn't tall enough, but since it was my vacation too, she went into the Neverland Club at the Poly at night. We would do parks in the day, I would my hand stamped to come back in, take her to the Poly and go get my rides on. And I have done this every year, some rides she doesn't want to go on so she goest to the club.

I didn't mean to flame you with my earlier post.

I agree with the other posters, see if she'd want to go to a kids' club for a couple of hours so you can go ride. Especially if the things you want to ride are all at the same park (doubt it, lol), you could take her to a club at a nearby resort, ride, and go back and get her a little while later.

There are also the kids' cruises, my boys went on the one at the GF and loved it, but they were only gone 2 hours. Maybe enough time to run to the park, ride, and get back, but maybe not. It would depend on the resort and the park.

Actually I waited for DH and oldest DD at the exit to the Rock n roller coaster thing at MGM (or whatever it's called now). I waited out of the way in the area where you go to buy your pics. If you did the ride right as the park opened there wouldn't be any issue. She'd be standing there no longer than if you ask her to wait there while you paid. You'd have to hustle butt to be one of the first riders but you could ride and be done and w/o any worries about her waiting for more than a few mins. There are CMs manning the photo area so if you told her to stand right there and wait for you and not move, they won't watch her but they would be aware that she is there waiting for you. You could even ask if it was ok for her to wait there. I waited a long time in there with the little ones and I think only 1 family even came in that area.

Also, forgot to add. To go to the clubs, you have to be staying at one of the WDW's properties if I am not mistaken. The Neverland Club has arts and crafts and movies and serve the kids dinner, can't remember what all is on the menu, DD would only eat chicken nuggets, but it is a nice place and kids get to play with other kids for awhile. You get a pager so if they need you they will page you.

I don't know - I personally don't think it's even fair to ASK the CM's this question....it puts them in the very awkward situation of having to make your vacation less magical by saying no. Really OP - if you aren't willing to leave your child unattended and CM's aren't there to attend or babysit children, it isn't fair to even ask. If someone came up to you at your place of employment and asked that you watch their child....well, what if your dd fell and hurt herself or god forbid, wandered away while the CM was doing his/her job??? That would be horrible and actually I hope that all Cm's would say no for just these very reasons (well, along with the fact that they are actually doing a job and don't have time to babysit in addition).

This is our first trip to WDW-myself and dd 7 1/2. I know she is not tall enough for certain rides but I am-Would I be able to ride a ride while she waited for me or no???? There is one ride in particular I want to go for! I know this sounds awfull.....:confused3

You want to leave a seven year old alone in a public place? No, I don't think that's a good idea- in fact, it's likely to get security or CPS called on you. One of the downsides to single parenting is that you simply don't get to do certain things unless you find a sitter. Been there, done that, appreciate the desire, still don't think leaving a 7 year old alone in public is responsible or safe.

Devilducky-would never leave her alone! I am a social worker!!!!!!!!!! I just didn't know if they could stand in line with you then step through and I ride, but I have gotten lots of advice and baby sitting info. We are leaving hubby and 3 yr old behind for some quality girl time! My dd is so excited she can't sleep! Thanks for you input! Leaving on the 29th woo hoo:lovestruc
