selfie sticks?

does Disney still ban selfie sticks? the reason I ask is I use a gopro and a selfie stick as a handle to hold the camera and extend it to get it above crowd level for parades and such.I don't do selfies nor do I use it on rides.would it be a problem using it basically as a mono-pod?

Yes they are still banned.
And besides holding your selfie stick above the crowds is so dang annoying for everyone else!
If you can see it at eye level the camera can as well.

I agree but when you're trying to get video of the castle show from a reasonable distance and everyone puts their kids on their shoulders... (I used a monopod on a garbage can )
