Hi
I was just wondering if anyone has any tips on self catering (as much as possible) whilst staying on site?
We will be staying at All Star Movies and are hoping to rent a fridge as DD doesn't eat much but will always have milkshakes and yoghurts (not together - lol). We are also hoping to eat breakfast in our room to save money.
Has anyone else done this? Is it allowed? And where is the nearest supermarket type place to buy supplies? (I am presuming that we will go offsite to purchase food and then bring it back to the room).
Thanks
Jo :wave2:

You certainly can eat in the room. We almost always do most of our breakfasts in the room to save time and money. Ceral, poptarts, oatmeal (either from hot tap water or invest in a cheep coffee maker once you get into town, or use the mircowave in the food court. You can in fact use the microwave and toaster oven in the food court for any food preparing. A frige, or a cheep cooler to keep things in the room cold is a life saver. Lunch meats, cheese yougert ect are great. Soft drinks, water ect is nice to have cold. Ice is free from the resort. Grocery items are expensice and limited at the resort. A off site grocery stop is the best soloution.

You are welcome to bring groceries and eat in your room. You may not however cook in the room.

Coffee makers and minifridges are OK, and I imagine no one would complain about a blender, but microwaves, Goerge Forman Grills, hot plates, crock pots, etc. are against not only WDW's rules, but also state fire codes.

There are microwaves and toasters in the food courts that you may use.
