Selection Time at 7am?

I'm staying off site the end of June and I've been making my FP selections each day as my 30 day window opens. My understanding is that the window opens at 7amEST and I tried shortly after midnight one night just to see and it didn't work. I have, however, been able to book (this morning in fact) as early as 6am. I'm curious just how early the window is actually opening but I'm unwilling to wake up any earlier to find out. Anyone tried it earlier than 6am or later than 12:30am?

This morning (6/1) I was able to make my FP for 7/1 at 4:10am est.

Thought I read that the ability to make FP was changing to 7AM? TIA for any additional information!

It is 7:00a but some have posted the window sometimes opens before 7a.

Most recent reports have stated it's exactly at 7am.

When I made our FP+s at the 30 day mark for 7/3 on, it opened at exactly 7am eastern. The moment my phone's clock changed to the top of the hour, the day would appear and not a second earlier.

My guess is now with the change to 7am, the system is more rigid and won't allow till 7am.

My 60 day window was Monday, June 6 and not knowing that it had changed from midnight to 7:00 a.m Eastern, I was freaking out when I couldn't get them at 6:50- right before bringing DD to school. I spent way too long looking at the calendar and counting on my fingers and toes to convince myself I had the right day. I should have stayed on the computer for another few minutes. I pulled up my MDX in the school parking lot and lo and behold, at 7:20 I could book! So I came to the DIS to see what was going on. So my experience was that as close as 6:50 and probably even 6:55 a.m. onMonday 6/5, I couldn't book. Can't hurt to try earlier if you're up, but I got all I needed, including FEA for 4 at 7:20 a.m. And there were still available slots for 4 when I checked a few days later.

Is it like ADR where it opens at 6 online but 7 if you call?

You can't call for FPs so it's only @ 7:00a where you access MDE to book.

Well, I just realized that with the change in FP+ reservation time I either run the 10K I'm registered for at 7:30am tomorrow, or get our FP's for our 12-day August trip... my sister's boyfriend's first trip to WDW and our first long summer trip. I haven't really been training, so perhaps this is the perfect excuse to skip it... ...

I suppose since I'll be up early, it won't hurt for me to just check if anything pops up before 7am... though I'm not expecting it.

Thanks everyone for the info. I make ours on 6/23/16 for our August trip. My DD was bummed because she loved making the FP+ at midnight for us because I Was sleeping at that time LOL, now I will be up ready to go and she will be sleeping!

I checked earlier btw, since my window opened today. Not a second before 7am!!
