This is not a connecting room. I could be wrong, but I think the verandah partitions between *all* the rooms can be removed.

SOunds like an awesome deal with that verandah! Only thing that concerns me is some research I have done on the deck.....I found this on a site...

Deck 5
***CruiseAdvice.org Warning ***
Many cabins on this deck with potential problems.
Deck 5 is right beneath several major public areas on the Disney Dream, including bars and lounges which could mean noise issues late into the evening.

•Forward on Deck 5 of the Disney Dream, inside cabins 5005, 5003, 5001, 5501, and 5503 are right behind a very large center for teens. Noise may not be a concern into the wee hours, but there could be some issues into the evening hours. Light sleepers may prefer to find a cabin elsewhere on the ship, bring earplugs, or invest in a wave machine (a sound device available at a specialty retailer like Brookstone – produces pleasant sounds that can wipe out the unpleasant sounds).
•Exterior cabins 5025- 5044 port side and 5524- 5544 starboard are over the theater's balcony seating. This is likely not a major concern, but some commotion could be heard during performances as well as before and after when staff are preparing for or cleaning up after a show.
•Aft, exterior cabins 5150- 5184 port side and 5668- 5684 starboard are over bars. This could be a late night noise issue. As mentioned, light sleepers may want to look at cabins on other decks of the Disney Dream, bring along earplugs, or invest in a wave machine.

I have read in TR's abt being able to hear the bass sounds from the clubs....etc...not trying to be a downer.....I think its great you didnt hear any noise!

I made this discovery months back when looking at the pics when the ship left drydock. I booked the room in hopes of the big veranda. I guess I did well. I think the room on the other side 5150 is handicapped accessible and therefore not open to booking.

I was able to book 5150 the day bookings opened.........so I'm guessing it is NOT a handicapped accessible room.

To the OP: if the veranda is so large, do you think they would give you more than the 4 chairs others have posted that are on these larger veranda's? Would love to get a few extra chairs if there is room for them. Thanks for the info.

Pics please anyone??

We just had to move our sail date and I was able to snag this room for our 3 night. I am very excited and glad to hear there wasnt much nightclub noise. We were to be in 5680 on our other date and I was worried about it! Our 1st family cruise and 1st veranda for Dh and I.

:cool1:I just snapped up this room for our spring break trip 2012! Can't wait!!!

That's an interesting idea. It certainly did feel sparsely furnished, but I don't really know what we would have used the extra furniture for. Of course, if we could have had one of those padded wooden loungers from deck 4, that would have been another story! :)

All, I'm sorry I don't have a great photo for you. The best I can come up with is this one with my fam on it, which still doesn't give you a great idea of the relative width & depth...

Thanks for the pic!!!!! It does help compared to the other normal veranda pics I have seen where there does not appear to be enough room to walk around the chairs! Very exciting!!!!!

We are a family of 6, with the other cabin being inside.....so it would be nice to get two more chairs for all of us to enjoy a drink on the veranda before dinner.

For those of you who want to see more pics.....just google stateroom 5150 and pics from the passporter website will come up that show just how big these verandas are.

**So after posting that excerpt abt deck 5....I went back and looked at decks 4 and 5....5150 looks like its between Skyline and Pink...so I dont see how it can be loud..?? It only appears deck 5 aft may be affected...
anyway...I went ahead and grabbed 5150:) Now if anyone ever joins my roll call...the verandah is large enough to host a party! LOL

Thanks for this thread and info....wonder if DCL would place a lounger there...and does anyone know why some verandahs get some and some do not (other than the obvious...size)??
I like this location...esp with DD5 at time of sailing....and what is right below our deck for me!

I thought that there are only loungers on the large suites. There certainly looks like there is room for them on this balcony, though.:confused3

Yes, plenty of room:thumbsup2 I will ask the room steward....someone! Doesnt hurt to ask! Or I will make up my own lounge chair with 2 chairs:thumbsup2

I couldn't tell from outside while docked at CC whether this is the case with the equivalent port cabin, 5150, as well.

Also, in case this hasn't been conclusively answered here, you CAN get to the kids' areas on deck 5 midship from the deck 5 aft cabins, via a hallway on the port side of the ship.
So again thanks to you for this thread...changed my room for the umpteenth time, and last...so I have 5150...this hallway you speak of....is it by this room, that leads to the kid areas??

OP's room was 5650, still not part of this section. :goodvibes

After reading this I changed our room to 5650. My DH is thrilled, he loves big verandas. We actually wanted deck 5 when I booked but was afraid of noise from Evolution. Thank you so much for this info.

We couldn't pass up 5650 either. I mentioned the possibility of noise to my DH and his exact words "so what, I want that verandah". :lmao:

I think we are both fortunate with our cruises being so far out...that these rooms are still available...once word gets out...these will be tough to get I am sure!!! Both rooms were available....but now I wonder if I should have went with 5650....I was thinking being closer to the kids club on port side...

I think you're right. When we book on board 5650 will be the first one I ask for. Hopefully we'll be lucky enough to get it again in the future. Our DS is 8 and will be in the kids club. It's no big deal. We can just do a little walking and get him there.

:rolleyes1Just changed to 5650.......now to bury this thread....
