How much does it cost for one person? I'm 17, would I be able to go on one of these tours without an adult? How long do the tours take? How can I book one? And if anyone has gone on one, how are they? I'm sorry for the stream of questions... I just can't seem to find that much info on this particular tour... Any help I could get would be fantastic.

Location and Time: Daily at 8:30am and 9:30am. Tour starts at the Guest Relations Lobby just inside the Main Entrance at Epcot to the left of Spaceship Earth.

Cost: $80.00 (you must also have theme park admission)

Restrictions: Guests must be at least 16 years old and must weigh 250 pounds or less to participate. The signature of a parent or legal guardian is required for participants under 18 years of age. Riders should be in good health and able to stand for the duration of the tour.

The tours are limited to about a dozen people, I believe -- and they tend to fill up quickly.

My wife and I did it last November, and had a blast.

As an added incentive: you get your very own, exclusive Segway Tour commemorative pin! :sunny:

Go and enjoy!

Our tour guides told us 10 is the max although they had 12 the day before. Go figure!

This is the best thing we've ever done at WDW. We plan on doing this again on our next trip. See pic below.

I don't know that much, just wanted to add that I've heard nothing but good things about this tour.

We booked ours a couple of weks ago 13th May 8:30am!! So Excited !!

Excellent picture jimmiej, can't wait to take one of the same view when we get there.

We did the 8:30 AM Tour. BTW, the tour is $80 but you can use a AAA membership for a 15% discount, making it more like $68. It lasts 2 hours and is divided into 2 parts.
Part 1 consists of 1 hour of training on the Human Transporter inside Innoventions. You watch a short video, get a helmet and meet an HT up close and personal. You learn how to turn it on; what the idiot light means; how to step onto it; step off of it; go forward, backward and stop; turn to the right and left; maneuver through cones; and go up and down a ramp or two.
You then get a 5 minute restroom break before leaving Innoventions for Part 2: the World Showcase tour. You travel in single file with a CM in front and another in back. No one is rushed and the CM's help out with any problems (such as nervousness). You travel around the WS, cruising in and out of several countries. Your CM Tour Guide will probably give you some info on the countries as you go but it is not real in depth. At some point, you will get 10 or 15 mintues of "free time" when you will be allowed to cruise around on your own, as long as you stay within certain boundaries and obey the rules. Bring a camera because this is the time when the CM's will take pictures for you! (Note: when we did our tour, the mother (DIS member "msmom") of one of our fellow HT'ers was allowed into Innoventions to film the training part. If you have someone along with you with a camera, it wouldn't hurt to ask if he/she can do the same.)
After the "free time", you head back to Innoventions where you receive the special pin to commemorate your tour.
The HT is an incredible device. I was amazed by it. It is next to impossible to fall off of; it can turn 360 degree circles on a dime; and it is very smooth and easy to operate. The steering is done by turning a small knob on the left "handle bar". Moving and stopping is accomplished by shifting your weight ever so slightly to your toes or heels. These HT's only go 5 mph, unlike the regular ones which go 12 mph or so, so you're not "flying around".
If you are nervous about cruising around people, take the 8:30 Tour. At that time, only CM's are in the WS, no guests.
I will say this: try to stay relaxed when you are on the HT. You will be on one for pretty much 1 3/4 hours straight! If you are tense, your legs will get tired pretty quickly. Just relax and let the HT do the work.
You'll really enjoy this tour!
