I have been reading a lot about the Segway Tour in Epcot on the boards, and I was just wondering how much it costs and how I would get to be able to do this? How long does it take?

We are going on a package, and it's the Dream Maker Gold, so does anyone know if this is *possibly* included?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

I don't know if it's included on your package or not - But I can tell you it runs around $80.00 & is officially 2 hours. 1 hour in class instruction & 1 hour in World Showcase. You have to show up 15 min. early & it might take you a few minutes to get your stuff together after you return.

It is worth every penny! We loved this. I would like to do it again, without the training hour. I wish Disney would offer a Segway Experience for those who have completed the training......

Hello! I've booked this tour for myself in June. I believe it is around $80.00 but I used a AAA discount which bumped the price down to about $65.00. Like the above post said, it's two hours long with one hour of training and another hour of actual touring.
As for if it's included in your plan, I'm not sure, but I would say no. You could call 407-WDW-TOUR check it out. Hope this helps!

We did it last year and loved it so much that we are doing it again this year! It is really a lot of fun. DH came out of it saying he wanted to buy a segway... we live in Oregon where it rains 364 a year! :rotfl2:

There are discounts available, Disney Visa 20%, AP and DVC 15%. Don't know how much the AAA discount is, but all of these help. We had a wonderful time on our Segway tour last August. I was sure I would have trouble navigating, but really mastered the Segway in 2 - 3 minutes! This is a great backstage tour. For our July trip, we're doing Undiscovered Future World.

If you get the chance, do the tour! It was great fun! I also thought I would have trouble, but the instructors were great. No one in our group of 10 had any problems. I did get 'busted' for going to fast! :rotfl: :rotfl:

They are offering a one hour class but you don't get to ride around World Showcase. That was the best part. Hearing the reactions from the others in the park. One lady told her child (don't know how old, didn't get the munchkin) that "those aren't real people, those are robots". I know she was kidding, but it was pretty funny.

How old do you have to be for the Segways? I know we would love doing it but I have a 12 year old. Do they still go around the World Showcase?
Thanks.

::MickeyMo We did the tour on May 12th and had an excellent time. You have to be 16 years old with valid ID. The World Showcase part is the second hour of the tour. It was great! Our tourguide gave some trivial information about each country. It was nice and they take time out for pictures. You also feel like a movie star because everyone stares at you when you go from Future World to the World Showcase! It's a blast! With AP's, it came to about $136.00 for two people! Not too shabby! Plus, you get a really neat pin at the end. ::MinnieMo

The tour is 16 and over I believe.

Another FYI - you can't get the AAA discount unless you have booked a package through AAA according to the CMs I talked to both last and this year.

My son, wife and myself did it last year. We had a blast. It cost $65 per person with AP discount. Was so much fun. We are booked again for it this year..planning on Sunday June 26.

I was at a trade show last Wednesday and they had a Segway...I got to make a short trip. It was nice to know how to do it...came back to me real quick.

You have to be 16 and not over 250 lbs.

Less than a month way... :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

My husband, son and I did the Segway Tour on Valentine's Day. It was fantastic. It was the best thing we've ever done at WDW. I paid $68 per person with our AAA discount. When I called to make the reservation, I mentioned that I had AAA and the CM gave me the discount - no problem.

I can HIGHLY recommend the Segway Tour. I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to do it, but I caught on quickly and it was a blast.

Have fun!
