Segway Tour

Has anyone gone on the Segway tour? Anyone "Big"? My son would like to take the segway tour but hes a big guy and about 270 lbs. That's 20 lbs. over the posted weight limit. Do they weigh you before you gon on?

Just did this in December- no one was weighed (no scales seen) and those who were borderline saw no difference in the speed of the Segway. BTW, it is an excellent tour! We plan to do it again this May and December!

I would hate for him to be embarrassed. This is a vacation after all and supposed to be fun. Does anyone know who I could contact beforehand or just pretend that I don't know about a weight limit?

I would definetly call and speak w/ someone. Like you said, it could be humiliating if it were to become an issue. And nobody wants that I'm sure.
The weight limit is 250, I don't know why that specific weight though. I'd contact guest services and see if they couldn't put you in touch with someone who run this tour.

My partner was around the 240 weight when we went on. No problem with the machine at all. I believe it is a segway weight limit, not disney.
