Somewhere I heard that you could ride the Segway transports for free at Innoventions, is this true or has anyone heard about this?
I heard it was just for a little bit of time.

I could be wrong, but I don't think they give 'trys'. It may be possible the CM's let someone have a quick try, but I would doubt it, for liability reasons. When you take the Segway tour they make you sign a waiver.

But again, with all things Disney, anything is possible.

yes its at Innoventions west it's free and you do sign a wavier you must be 16 or 17 years old with a parent signature i did it on halloween its only a few minutes but i loved it

Yes its all the way at the back of innoventions and they make you sign a waiver too and its free however its only about a minute on the segway so its really only worthi it if theres no line. We did it and thought it was kool.

They basically teach you how to move forward, backwards, turn around and that's it. It's over in a couple of minutes, less if you are good :)

But for someone like me who had been wanting to try one, it was fun. But like someone else said, there was no line so I walked right into the room where they give you a sales pitch and then make you sign the waiver. I would've been disappointed if I had to wait a long time and then only allowed to stay on a Segway for a couple minutes.

Yup, I did this last month. It's a great way for you to "test out" the Segway if you're not sure about whether you'd klutz out on a tour, or are actually coordinated enough (that's me!). When I was there last month, though, the exhibit didn't open until 1:00, however. I got there about 12:45 and the CM at the rope was very friendly, so the 15 minute wait zoomed by. I'm glad I went a little early-by 1:00 there was quite a line, and I don't think everyone waiting got into the first group.

Sweet. I'm going to have to try it. Simba's Mom, I see you are going to WDW in a few days. We'll be there the same time. Have fun.
