So I just tried my ADRs. There is basically just slim pickings at odd hours and on Wednesday the 5th it states absolutely no dinner reservations anywhere?
I went into this like “stay positive, at least you’re going to redo your kid’s bday trip” but I can’t help but be a little disappointed. I was hoping for San Angel or Garden Grille at Epcot, and had my fingers super crossed for Topolino’s breakfast 5/5 and the castle dinner 5/6 (my daughter’s birthday) and it’s hard not to feel a little dejected.
And anything else that’s left is like dinner at 4:20! Even if I wanted to book the skipper canteen for 5/7 dinner (which I do), I’m not doing it at 4:20; that’s way too early for our family.
I’ve got Topolino’s and the castle in the TP reservation finder and I hope we’ll get tossed a bone. Otherwise, do the waitlists generally bear fruit? How can I be on the waitlist for a resort restaurant (Sanaa, Topolino’s) if people have reported being turned away from a resort without an ADR?

Update: I guess it was the app giving me grief as I was able to get some ressies and see more availability online. Snagged Sanaa 5/5 at 5:25 and the Skipper Canteen 4:45 on 5/7.

On my daughter's 7th birthday, 5/6, there was at Castle ressie at 3:10 but that's so super early and it's a LOT of money to spend when the baby will have just woken from his nap and won't be hungry, the rest of us won't be hungry, and there's only a *chance* that Cinderella *might* whisk through the restaurant. So in the meantime until TP can hopefully find a more reasonable time, I snagged a Plaza dinner that day at 4:50.

***** Edited to add my questions re the Waitlist, now more focused on the parks, still stands. Will we generally possibly have good luck for Waitlists at places like San Angel, Garden Grille, 50s Prime Time, and Cinderella's Castle? *****

Unfortunately this is the nature of lots of restaurants still being closed plus limited capacity for seating. Keep checking -- people cancel all the time and ADR availability changes often as a result. I also highly recommend using the Touring Plans ADR finder.

Re: the waitlists, I can't offer much advice as I haven't used those. I do think you can often grab an ADR day of or night before as people make last minute changes.

I do have TP working on Topolino’s and Castle ressies, so that’s a bit of a comfort. They’ve always done right by me in the past.

Thank you for the reminder to keep checking. We were last there in 2018 (were supposed to go last year the same week but...) and I forgot that for Disney World, one has to be persistent lol

I had no problems yesterday making hard to find ADRs - SciFi, Homecomin brunch, Beaches & Cream. Today the site is super messed up. It keeps telling me to go the website but the site only gives me one day to book.

I tried again just about an hour ago and it was giving me the runaround but then I was able to book for our entire stay.
