I'm trying to figure out a way to eat a Mickey waffle on my upcoming (short!) trip to Disney. It may seem crazy, but I really want to fit them in somewhere.

We're staying at AOA, so their food court doesn't serve Mickey shaped waffles-- so I'm considering driving to another resort for breakfast one morning. My question is, will we be allowed to park at another resort? I know parking at other resorts is allowed if you have a dining reservation, but I'm having trouble finding table service restaurants that serve Mickey waffles (outside of buffets, which I'm not interested in)-- most that do only offer them on the kids menu (and, sadly, I'm not a kid.)Will I be able to park if I am just visiting the food court? Or, should I chance making a reservation somewhere that offers Mickey waffles on the kids menu and hope that I'll be allowed to order them as well?

Polynesian breakfast is served "family style". Although you can not choose your meal a la carte, the meal does include Mickey Waffles. The entire meal is brought to your table.

You will be allowed to order from the childrens menu if you choose.

We're doing Ohana for dinner so I don't want a big breakfast (and I don't want to spend too much time with characters or anything as we will be off to the parks after we eat.)

Do you mean I can eat off the children's menu just at Ohana, or anywhere?

Anywhere. My kids (when they were teens, late teens) do it all the time. Of course hubby and I were there ordering off the reg menu. Not sure what would happen if a party of 8 adults went to the restaurant and all asked for a childrens menu!! But if you want Mickey Waffles and they have them for the kids and not the adults, you will be able to get them.

Im not a big waffle eater, never ordered them at home..not sure where Ive even had one in the past, but one year we went to Crystal Palace and my daughter had one. She ate 3/4 of it and that last piece was left on her plate when she was done eating. We were waiting for the last character to come to our table for a picture and while waiting, I reached my fork over and ate that bite. I was hooked. I went back to the buffet and got one of my own! Since then, if they have them, I will eat them!!!

I highly suggest someday you try the chocolate waffle at Captains Grill (Yacht Club) MMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Dark Chocolate Waffles - dried cherry compote, espresso-mascarpone cream, chocolate shavings and a choice of bacon or sausage $10.99

I think it will be most cost effective to get your waffle at the GF Cafe instead of Ohana since it's a buffet at Ohana unless you're interested in having other things too.

AOA uses the same batter as all the other hotels and restaurants for their waffles, it's just not shaped in a Mickey head. Which, kinda not the same.

Mmm those waffles sound amazing. I am a big waffle person-- I like the texture. There's a restaurant in Chicago called Waffles where they have (surprise) really yummy waffle flavors like green tea and Mexican chocolate-- but I like
Mickey waffles the best!

If you don't want the cost of a TS breakfast (or the time spent to eat at one) the foodcourts at both POFQ and POR have them . Just tell the guard you are there to eat .

'OHana is NOT a buffet. It is a all you are to eat family style meal served to you at your table at breakfast. It includes Mickey Waffles, along with pastries, fruit eggs, sausage, bacon, breakfast potatoes and biscuits

Fine, "all you can eat". My point really was that if you only want a Mickey waffle, you'll pay less at GF Cafe then at Ohana unless you want other stuff.

I drove to other hotels do get breakfast during my most recent trip when I was staying at AoA. I had no problem parking at Caribbean Beach or Coronado Springs to eat at their food courts.

I have heard that at busy times of year parking at other hotels can be an issue if you don't have a reservation.
That being said, last December my husband and I went to quick service at the Contemporary for Mickey Waffles.
If you aren't allowed to park...you could park at the TTC and take the monorail!

According to this, Landscape of Flavor, the food court at AoA, does serve Mickey waffles.

Sorry, that is not correct.

My understanding was that Pop served Pop waffles and AOA served waffles with different characters on them now? They aren't listed on the Disney menu site but I'm not sure.... I know it's the same batter and I'm being silly but Mickey waffles are the best way to start a trip!

The above is correct. Although the waffle batter is the same at every Disney restaurant, AoA serves waffles with Finding Nemo & Cars characters on them and POP serves waffles with a POP logo on them.
