seeking a few more creative ideas for our family's disney countdown party

We're having a WDW Grand Gathering in April so my sister and I decided to get everyone together for a "50 days to Disney" party in late February since the cousins haven't seen each other since Christmas. They'll be 7 adults including Grandma and Grandpa and 8 kids ages 5-11. So I'm planning a menu of WDW recipes (taken from 2 Disney cookbooks that my mom had), we'll play a Disney game (maybe our Disney version of Scene It), my mom is working on getiing Disney paper goods and doing Disney themed party favor bags for the kids, and I'm making each family a gift of a "--- days 'til WDW" countdown chalkboard (like the kind you use to countdown days 'til Christmas). So I pretty much have it all covered but being the Disney-crazy person that I am (and that my whole family is) I figured I tap the experiences and ideas of folks on these boards just to see if anyone out there has any suggestions for this party that they would like to share or things anyone has done as part of a countdown or planning party.

And I can tell everyone out there with families planning a trip that seems so far away, doing a party at the 50 (or 75 or 100) day mark has been a great way to keep ourselves Disney-occupied as we're marking those days off the calendar waiting for our trip to begin!

Well you could get a cardbored box (a little skinnier then a cereal box) and on one side cut out how many flaps untill disney. Start with like fifty, forty-nine and so on. But inside each flap put something of disney. have everyone take turns everyday to open it and get the prize inside.


or


you could make a chain, and decorate it with glitter. HIH!
