Seeing Osborne lights after Fantasmic

Thanks, Robo, that's a wealth of information. I hope we can find out about these private parties well in advance, not just the day of, so we can plan our day at MGM. Perhaps I can call Disney to find out if they have a private party scheduled that day.

Anne with an "E"...

You are going to have the BEST vacation EVER!

You know more "inside stuff" by now than 80% of WDW CM's!
:thumbsup2

(Except for the custodial staff... THEY know EVERYTHING!)

Glad you got the spelling of my name right. Now, can you spell C-H-R-Y-S-A-N-T-H-E-M-U-M? ;)

Where is a slate when you need one?
I'm thinking that since we are such bosom friends, we need to start a thread where we only use AoGG lines.

So, kinda confused. On the Disney website, for the night we are doing Fantasmic Sat. Nov. 18th. It says Osborne Lights 6-7 pm.

So I figured we wouldn't be able to see them, since its OVER at 7 pm. BUT you regulars are saying this time of 7 pm means nothing! And that they'll still keep them on until 8 or so? So people getting out of Fantasmic WILL be able to see them!?

That would save us from having to return to see the Lights on another night, which would sure be helpful!

Why doesn't it give a later time on the site then?

The more I read on this the more confused I get! Hoping someone who goes this year will post at the earliest possible date to help later arrivals.

When I called for ADR and asked a CM about it, he said that the only way to see the Osborne Lights AND Fantasmic was to book the Fantasmic dinner package , eat then see the lights, then go see Fantasmic with a guaranteed seat.

Not whatt I want to do so still hoping there is another way to do both.

Sure, why not? That idea has lots of scope for imagination... :thumbsup2

That would be confusing...

So in other words, no one really knows if you can see the osborne lights after Fantasmic or not? :confused3

Not in advance.

But you should be able to find out at Guest Relations at the park the day you are there.

The important message of this thread is to make DISers aware that even though MGM may be officially "closed" after Fantasmic!, on many nights the OLights WILL be available for viewing.

If you want a more specific "guarantee" than "many nights"... sorry.

Thanks, we'll see what is possible the day we are there.
Fingers crossed that the Lights are a go for after Fantasmic!

But we'd definitely head over another night just to see them as it seems like a definite must do, while we are there!

Really looking forward to our FIRST trip to Disney!!!!! Less then 2 months now - yay! :cheer2:
