I am a newbie, we leave for our first trip on Sunday, we really want to meet Anna and Elsa. I was thinking g we should go right to their line and trade off waiting/doing stuff in the area and push all our FP+s in Future world till after lunch. DH wants to do our things in future world in the morning and thinks the wait will be two hours all day so we might as well get over there after doing some other things in the morning. Thoughts?

Sorry if this is not the right spot for this thread, a tad bit overwhelmed by all the board options.

The wait has been much longer than 2 hours later in the day. It was reported here that people getting in line at 11am were told they would be in the 3pm session. That was this week, so not even the holiday week. They apparently are not meeting during EMH morning any longer either.

I will get in line at 9am while my family does other rides, collects legacy fastpass. CM's are asking that only one wait in the line and others report back at time given as the space is small. For the shortest wait you will most likely have to split up.

we are headed there next week...and I am wondering how long the waits have been and what time we need to be in line...

They start right away at 11:00???
Fingers crossed...

Assume a 90-minute wait or more all day long. You can enter their line as early as 9:00a, but they don't start meeting until 11:00a.

I would think at this point that if you want to meet them, you'll need to plan for at least one person in your party to stand in their line for around two hours.

Yikes! I now wish that we had stood in line when we were there in November. I think it was about when they first had their meeting area open. We were at Epcot on Nov. 18th. I seem to remember the line was something like 30 - 45 minutes and so we skipped it in order to make our Mission Space and Test Track FP+ times. I had planned on seeing them next month but DH would think I was nuts if I had to wait 2 hours.

We're her today, DH is heading straight there at rope drop, I'll tell you guys what our exp. is

We saw them yesterday. We were outside the "turnstiles" before rope drop and went straight there. I was at least 5-6 families back I think and waited til the 11am M&G while dh took the kids to ride Soarin' and do a couple of other things. People who got in line 30 min or so later were in the 12pm line and it only grew from there. A lady stopped me in the shop as we were leaving the royal family and asked how long we waited. It was around 11:15 and she said her family was in the 2pm line.

ETA: CM have no problems with one person waiting while the families go do something else. They go thru the line and ask how many in each party so they know when to cut off each line.

We went to see them on Tuesday, 1/7. It was an EMH morning and were second in line when we arrived in Norway at about 8:20am. By 11:00 they were telling those just arriving that they would be in the 2:00 session. By the time we left 15 minutes later they were filling the 3:00 session.

Normally I would say that EMH padded the line, however this was the super-cold, temps in the 30s day that Florida just had and I actually think that kept the line a bit shorter, or at least no different, than a normal day.

I would definitely get in line as soon as you arrive. One of you can hold a place while the others go off and explore. Just make sure everyone is in line by 10:45 or so.

BTW, meeting them was a highlight of our trip...and our kids are teens and young adults. Not only were Anna and Else terrific, but we really bonded with the people with whom we waited in line. :)

Cute story...Anna asked my son and his girlfriend how long they have been dating. When he told her it had been almost a year she said "Oh, so you are engaged!". They said no and Elsa said "See Anna, most people wait longer than a day." :lmao:

That's adorable! :lovestruc

Lol, we had a similar experience today, we were in line for rope drop by 8:30, DH went right there and was third in line, by 10 the line was for the 12 showing and by the time they start greeting at 11 the showing was for 1:00 and I think almost full.

They were so sweet with my kids and took a lot of time talking with them. I'd say it was almost 10 minutes between signing autographs, pictures and chatting. My son is now playing happily with his Elsa, Anna and Olaf figurines.

I had planned on seeing them next month but DH would think I was nuts if I had to wait 2 hours.

My understanding is that their meet and greet will stop on 1/31, with no plans to return. I was in line to see them January 2 around five o'clock, and was told the wait was two hours (it had been up to five hours before a huge rainstorm came through and chased a lot of people away). I almost got out of line, thinking June when we come back would be less crowded, but when I asked the CM controlling the line about that, she said they were only scheduled to be there until 1/31. That may have changed, or the CM may have been wrong, but that's the schedule I heard. My daughter and I waited for two hours and got some great pictures.

we have Princess storybook breakfast reservations at 8:00 on a Saturday...how long do you think breakfast will take? I don't want to rush...as it is my DD birthday (that day)...but I also don't want to wait any longer that I have to...

on the plus side DH, my mom and my MIL will all be with us...so I am hopeful SOMEONE will wait in line... :)

Absolutely no way that is going to happen. They may move them to a different meet and greet location, but they aren't going anywhere. (i.e. Tiana, Rapunzel, Merida). They may not have officially announced they will be there past 1/31, but they will be. I'm sure they will be there for your June trip; howeve, chances are the lines won't be any shorter by then. I think Rapunzel mania lasted at least a year (she still has long lines), and I think these two may be turning out to be more popular than Rapunzel even.

At least you get to meet a Queen and a Princess.
So a 2 hour wait for them is about the same as two 1 hour waits for a single princess...
