Seeing Chewbacca

Is there a better time of day to see him? My 10 yo is over the moon for Chewie. He's non-verbal, and tends to find kinship with characters who are hard to understand (he's also a big minion fan, and loves Bumblebee the transformer - all of them have speech issues). I know you can't DAS meet and greets, but if there's a better time of day for him to visit, we'll make that work. He want's to talk to him with his talker. <3

I don't know that there's a better time of day (we waited for 20-25 min, at 3:30 on a day in January when the park was closed to new entries)..... but I wanted to chime in, that I felt like our interaction with chewy was TOP NOTCH. We spent maybe 5-6 minutes, it was my favorite character interaction of our visit. I'm sure they'll take extra time with your son. Enjoy!!!

We went during an evening parade (this past November) and the place was a ghost town. There was only 1 family ahead of us for Chewy. It was great and he spent a good amount of time with our family.

Chewy is awesome! He gave my husband some of his hair so he could make a toupee!

We were there around 6 pm the other night and it was a twenty minute wait.

We were there during the first week of April around 1 pm and the wait was about 10 minutes, it was posted as 30 minutes but only took 10.

I was there on Monday April 10 during Food and Wine. Disneyland was absolutely packed that day however Launch Bay was mostly empty. I saw Chewy, Darth Vader, Boba Fett and Darth Vader again with Visa pass all within about 45 min to hour. Each line was only between 10 - 20 min tops. This was about 3pm in the afternoon. Chewy interaction was awesome. I was by myself and he gave me a big hug and pretend tried to kiss me.
