Just wondering how much you get to see Disney characters onboard and also, is there a "hot spot" or time on a 4 day cruise to see them? We would love to see everyone but Mickey (of course) and Belle would definetly get the biggest smiles! THANKS!!! :flower:

Don't expect to see the characters roaming all over the ship...But to add to that...there are plenty. They do have designated times and locations for diffrent characters through out the day...with autograpahs and photos with the ship photographers. In the atrium they had a screen that continualy showed all the locations, times, and what characters would be there. Don't forget to check the personal Navagator for other listings.

You'll see plenty...they can keep you running all day long if you want to see them all.

When I first read this sentence, I thought - here's someone that doesn't like THE Mouse!! :rotfl: and is on HIS Ship!!

THere are many scheduled times and places. And you will run into them at times and places you won't expect.

On Castaway Cay they seem to hang out by the gazebo. They may be elsewhere, but I'm chill'n on the beach, having fun in the water or pigging out at Cookies!

I don't know, it sure seemed to me that they were roaming all over the ship.
Our kids were older, and other than the character breakfast, we didn't seek out the characters........but it seems I was always passing Mickey, Minnie, Chip or Dale somewhere on the ship.

Actually, I was amused at myself at the character breakfast, I was almost annoyed at how many characters were coming by the table because my eggs were getting cold!!!!!!!! The character breakfast, and last morning were the only days we ate breakfast in the dining room.

HI, WE SAW ALOT OF CHARACTERS GOING IN AND OUT OF THE SHUTTERS PHOTO AREA. WHEN IT WAS CLOSE TO TIME FOR A CHARACTER TO COME OUT FOR A PHOTO SHOOT, WE WOULD STAY AROUND SHUTTERS AND USUALLY THEY WOULD SHAKE YOUR HAND OR HUG THE CHILDREN BUT NO PICTURES BECAUSE THEY WERE ON THEIR WAY TO A SCHEDULED PHOTO SHOOT. :earboy2:

:earboy2: And don't forget those elevators....You just never know who may come in our out....

If you miss any of your favorite characters, they will all be out on hte Til We Meet Again party the last evening of the cruise. The atrium, both top and bottom floors are filled with your characters for your last photo and autograph opportunities. Be aware, it's a madhouse but lots of fun.

Nope..the characters don't roam the ship...the have their designated times where they'll be out for a photo shoot or autographs..but they're not roaming the ship. They have the characters schedulled through out the day...so just about any time of the day you should be able to find at least one...but if I remember correctly...there only out each session for 1-2 hours...depending on who they are. (I think the more popular characters stay out for longer) :flower: ...But no roaming around...They really have to limit how long there out and about...think of how hot it must get in those outfits.

Oh and on Castaway...they are real limited to the times there out. We missed them completly.

The characters are only allowed to be out for 20-30 minutes depending on if it is inside in A/C or outside. Princesses are able to stay out longer. For those who are going to say that the character breakfast is longer than that...the characters take a "break" one by one thru a door in the back. We were sitting next to it. The "break was less than a minute though. ;) Working in shifts seems to solve that problem.

The Navigators also post when there are autograph sessions. My kids made most of those. I was surprised at how many characters they had on board!
My favorite story:

While sitting in one of the halls, my DH and I observed a young boy carried down the hall in his father's arms. At that moment, Sailor Goofy happened
to be walking the other way (probably on his way to an autograph session).
The young man said to Goofy, who stopped to wave hi to him, "I'm getting a
little tired of seeing you everywhere!" in a very serious voice....

My DH and I started laughing. It did seem like everywhere we looked on our
cruise, one of those characters was around!!!
