See VWL on DVC Tour?

We're considering buying into DVC, and are planning to take the tour in January. However, the only resort we are really considering is VWL. What is the best way to see that one? My understanding is that the tour is done at the Boardwalk, a location we're really not interested in. Or is it best to go to WL on our own and ask to see the VWL? Thanks.

When we went on the tour at Boardwalk in Oct besides the mock-ups of Boardwalk they also had mock-ups for VWL. We saw the studio, 1 bedroom and how the 2 bedroom is put together.

The villas at the Wilderness Lodge have their own selling location in the lobby of the villas. There is someone their during the day and some evenings. Just stop on by. They will be happy to show you the real thing...

When we bought last Decemeber, we drove over to the WL and asked at the desk there. We were shown a 2 bedroom in the Villas, which is a a studio and 1 bedroom. Then a van came and took us over to their offices at the BWV. There they showed us the BWV decor. They offered to show us the VWL setup, but we told them we had already looked over at the VWL.

Was in the VWL model unit last Wednesday. There is someone at the desk at both lobbies and a hostess in the unit.
No problem asking to see the unit.
The Guide at BWC should be able to arrange transportation to VWL.

There's a cast member from DVC at the VWL daily in what's known as a "model room" that can give you a tour and provide you with very topline information on membership. However, if you're interested in purchasing, this is done at the Boardwalk Sales center by a licensed vacation club guide (sales person).

Don't know if it's true or not, but Disney has been predicting for months now that VWL will be sold out by the end of December, so it *might* be sold out and no longer available by the time you take the tour. Was it going to be early Jan. or late Jan?

Just finished our add-on at VWL....

After a "frank" discussion with my guide, I really do (sales tactics aside) believe they are getting close to a sellout....maybe end of January, but I wouldn't cut it too close.

the hours that the model is open at 10:00am to 6:00pm

We took the tour at BW and then went to VWL to tour their model room. We also went to OKW and asked to look at an empty unit. They were more than happy to assist us. We then purchased at VWL, since it was the only one available at the time. We also liked VWL the best.
