Security

I have absolutely no problem with Disney Security and am very glad they are there, but I am wondering -- If I have a bag that is essentially a "wallet on a string" with a long sleeve shirt and a waterbottle hanging off of it, is it necessary to stop at the security table? I usually do, but one time my brother told me just to walk through because he didn't think it was necessary and nobody stopped me. What do you think?

I leave Sunday (only 36 hours left!), so any help would be much appreciated!

If you don't have a "BAG", you can walk on in.

That said, it won't matter what ANY of us say HERE, if you happen to find a guard at the "no bags" entrance who "prefers" that you go thru the bag-search line with your "wallet on a string".

Just walk by and if you're allowed through... fine.

But, if the guard motions you over to the bag check... no big deal, either.

You may call it a "wallet on a string" but security may call it a bag. I don't know what it actually looks like so would not go into the aisle for guests with no bags if you are carrying anything at all.

Go through the security aisle and make sure the guard sees it. He/she will let you know if you need to open it.

Isn't a wallet on a string a purse? If so...you should go by the security table. If the wallet on a string is small enough to fit in a pocket...then I'd put it there and go through the middle.

No, it's a wallet on a string. It just makes it easier to carry if you don't have a pocket.

1) A "wallet on a string" is a bag.
2) However, the guard may just wave your through.
3) But, be prepared to stop for a search.

I have a Disney one....anyway, I tried to go in the no bag line and was sent over to the with bag line. Once in the with bag line, I was told that they did not need to see inside it. It all depends on the guards at the gate. You can always try...just open it so that they can see there is nothing there but cards and money.

My mom and grandmother wore a Mickey wallet with a string this year and they had to go through security every time.
