unpacked this morning and noticed theyve left the security tags on 2 of our clothes we bought.

Yep thats what I would do, if not email Disneyland Paris as I am sure they will be able to help you out

Hope you get it sorted. If you don't have a Disney store near you could you maybe take it to your local supermarket and ask nicely at CS if they'll do it for you?? I suppose it depends on the tag shape etc?

PS - Thanks for mentioning it - we plan to buy a few bits for the girls for Christmas so I'll keep a look out for the tags coming off and check before we leave.

I had this too on towels - I ended up taking them back with me the next time we visited to get them removed. A friend tells me that if they have dye in them if you freeze the item the tag can then be prised off without the dye spilling but I didn't want to risk it.

We found it another time too and it seemed to be when you had made purchases in the stores and then had them sent to your hotel so they tend to ring them through and pack them up once you have gone - also worth checking breakables if you do this as we had a broken mug before now.

be aware that you will set off the alarms going into the shop where you take them back - it happened to me once but not from DLP

Whens the last time you saw anyone react to these alarms though - in the shopping centre near me I got a t shirt home and found the tag was still on so I had managed to walk out the shop setting off the alarm and walk back into the shop setting off the alarm and no one even batted an eyelid.

Hi I had the same problem with a t-shirt. My local disney store were very helpful and had the same tag remover as the parks. The alarms did go off on the way into the shop but t-shirt was v obviously not from their shop DLRP all over it!

We bought something for my mum & dad from DLRP & when they opened it they asked if we paid for it as it still had the tag on it:rotfl2: My dad managed to use wirecutters to get the tag off.

I used to work in a clothing shop and on a shop lifting course we were told that some people get tags off with strong magnets.

Is it the type that will come off with a magnet?

Hey I worked in the Disney Store years ago. And we often had people coming in with the same problem. So they should be able to take them off for you. I wouldn't try yourself as they are ink tags and will just ruin the stuff.

A friend of mine had that problem but rather than take it back to the store, he just attacked the security tag with a screwdriver and a pair of pliers. The tag literally exploded and his arms were covered in blue dye. He told me that it eventually came off... after 3 weeks :scared1:

Same friend who told me about the freezing told me that as well - she worked for Debenhams and they said it was well known that was what the shoplifters did.

Yeah I work in a shop, and I had one of the security tags just sitting on the edge of the counter I accidentally knocked it off. When I went to pick it up the security blue dye and cracked open and before I realised my hand was covered in the stuff. Went to wash it off (failed) only to find my colleague had picked it up not realising and been inked too. Lasted well over a week and even survived viscous scrubbing!
