be aware that you will set off the alarms going into the shop where you take them back - it happened to me once but not from DLP
A friend tells me that if they have dye in them if you freeze the item the tag can then be prised off without the dye spilling but I didn't want to risk it.
I used to work in a clothing shop and on a shop lifting course we were told that some people get tags off with strong magnets.
Is it the type that will come off with a magnet?
A friend of mine had that problem but rather than take it back to the store, he just attacked the security tag with a screwdriver and a pair of pliers. The tag literally exploded and his arms were covered in blue dye. He told me that it eventually came off... after 3 weeks
