security question

So many people on these boards complain about the lack of security at US airports...well i have a question...

how many of you woul dhave a problem with the new screening machine that is being called a "virtual strip search"?

I personally have no problem with this at all. In fact I think that this would help immensely. The issue nowadays is not what can be found by metal detectors but what cannot be found by them.
I think this is another case of people complaining that we want higher security but what are people willing to give up for it?


Becasue of this latest incident with him getting the stuff on teh plane becasue he was hiding it on his body and obviously it wasnt metal, this coul dhave prevented it from happening.
We are all either going to have to subject to this or they should be patting everyone down...whcih one would be better?

I think they need to ignore oppositions to this and proceed with getting these in teh airports.

Denver already has this. It like everything else is not without faults. I talked to someone in airport security industry and he said you can put enough chemical in a pda pen that could do damage. I would like to see more dogs at the gates.

I have no problem with it at all. I know that some feel it's an invasion of privacy but I figure that if someone it 'enjoying' seeing what they are seeing of my 60 y/o body, more power to 'em. Much preferrable to having an undetected bomb on board. Can't keep relying on faulty bomb equipment or faulty terrorists!!! Boston's Logan is getting these new scanners soon.....I'm actually looking forward to them.
