Security Checkpoint

Does anybody know when they moved the security checkpoints? I was there for the first time in a couple of months and they were in the ratunda of the parking garage. They only had 4 counters but it didn't look like there was too bad of a line to get through there. I feel better that they are now checking everybody that goes onto the property even the City Walk people.

I had not heard that before..but it is a great idea. That is a big area they already had built for a security check and it saves time going in at the park entrances. I am a big believer in security check points, better safe than sorry....

Hm, so they no longer have it at the gates, but instead in the parking garages? What about onsite folks?

Just back from the parks this weekend, Thursday-Saturday.
Stayed onsite, so I don't know about the parking garage, but there were NO security checkpoints inside or outside of the park entrances when we were there.
No checkpoints at the hotels or the boat docks at CityWalk, either.
I was a little surprised, since we've just accepted that they would always be part of our theme park experiences (ha ha) from now on.
Maybe they've decided the threat has been reduced enough to not need them anymore (not so sure about that!)?
The new ticket scanners (People, please put your tickets down on top of the little pictures and not hold them up to the scanner!) held up the lines a little bit, so by adding those and removing the security checkpoints, it's about the same for time in line getting into the parks.
Not sure why they did away with the checkpoints, but I'm not going to complain!

I've got to agree, I figured that would be the case when I heard it was in the garages.
