Secrets To Disney Cruise Line

This site has everything you could possibly want. Just start reading through the topics that sound interesting. Then, if you have a specific question, you can put that thread out. Good luck!

Tip #1 - spend some time every week reading this forum. This has the best and most up to date information on crusing on the Disney Cruise Line.

Tip #2 - buy a Passporter's Guide to the Disney Cruise Line. You can get it either from the their website, or from a good bookstore such as Borders or Barnes & Noble. It is a very organized way of getting information about crusing on Disney, including the ships and the various ports of call.

In St Marten we have done th 12 metre racing twice. Both times enjoyed it and worked a little on the boat. They are America's cup boats with a fun crew. My 79 yr old dad was the timekeeper & my 13 yr old DD was bartender..

I totally agree with Cap. Between this forum and the Passporter's Guide you'll get enough info to plan a wonderful vacation. These people on here on the best!

What are good excursions for Eastern Carribean?

The best place to find out which excursions are best for your family is to read the Trip Report board. You will find descriptions of most of the excursions there and pluses & minuses of each from several cruisers.

:sunny: I agree about the Pasporter, but the 2004 one will not be out till l April or May. Acording to there site they are adding a bunch. They are adding info on the shore excursions and other things. I can't remember what else it said. You will also find alot out on this site. There are alot of helpful Disney Fans on here.:boat:

Please do tip#1 at your own risk...every week can easily turn into every day....and every day can turn into every hour...before you know it...you will be hooked like most of us !

Don't forget Daves's dcltribute.com site also. What Barb & Tony's site doesn't cover. Daves does. We use both extensively.

Barb & Tony should be getting back from their # 36 cruise. Would you say "Permenant Residents".

Happy sailing.

Almost down to that 60 day mark.

You can also use the search function to see what has been asked or discussed recently.

We'll be going on the Eastern in June. We are looking at the 5-star at St. Thomas along with the tram on our own. I've read about the Sapphire beach (ST. Thomas Beach excursion) which we probably would do if we don't get the 5-star.

In St. Martin, we're probably going to go to Dawn beach for snorkeling and waves. This is not an excursion through DCL, so we will be taking a taxi which I'm estimating at about $40 round trip. Another inexpensive beach is Great bay beach right at the pier.

These are the ones that I have looked into. I've heard that the Golden Eagle catamaran is very good.

I'm sure you'll be able to find out more on these boards as well.

Have fun!

RWASBURY123,

Here's another tip. Once you have booked a Disney Cruise, see if there is a thread started in this Forum's DisMeet sub-forum. If there is, subscribe to it, read it, and participate. It is a wonderful way to meet your fellow cruisers before the cruise. For us, it was great to already know people while we we waiting at the port for embarkation and to be able to talk to people on board who we had already known for months via these boards. Kids already knew other kids, teens - teens, etc.

Read, read, read! Everything and anything you can, but the best source is "Passporter" - Jennifer and Dave have compiled the best source at hand for DCL information in a book. I've cruised seven times and still use it!!

Hi I am also a first time cruiser and I have found these sites to be very helpful:

www.mousesavers.com

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?threadid=468132

http://hometown.aol.com/entropym/

geocities.com/Calgon1/

wait to get the new passporter for cruises because the 2004 issue will have more about the excursions. It comes out in April.

Everyone swears by the over the door shoe holder, used to keep soap, shampoo, etc. organized and off the bathroom sink area. It is a must have!
Also sea safe which protects form "sea lice" (not lice at all,but very small jellyfish)
Sun Guard from Rit. It is a wash in sunscreen for your clothes. My mom had a yard sale last year and sunburned thru her shirt!!!!!I have fair skin and will not be taking a chance on blisters.

I know you will have a great time planning your vacation and going on it too!!!!

Everyone on the Dis boards has been so helpful and knowledgeable if you have any questions (even if you think it might be a dumb one) post it anyway because they even anwer my super dumb questions.

this is the correct site. He really knows lots. I coppied the packing list and made a triva game out of the Nautical Dictionary. We play for Disney Dollars.

<b>What are good excursions for Eastern Carribean? </b>

We love the Champagne Catamaran and Snorkel. It's longer than most and is a great time (St. Thomas). We'll do it again this April.

I agree with the others on reading the various websites. And, don't dorget DCL's for information, pictures, etc. Some of the travel agents have similar information and pictures (including this one!).

ENJOY!
