I received an envelope of goodies from SS. I must say I like this better for just me than the dog biscuits. Although my Missy is getting quite used to having a cookie everytime she comes in.

Anyway, inside was Making Memories "like it is" all boy word stickers, "word fetti" family stickers, Stickeroni pumpkin stickers, four bundles of fiber (colors I don't have yet woohoo) and a sampling of different teas which I will use when I am making my swap items.

Thank you so much!! This is so much fun. I'm not sure what is better-getting neat items or finding neat things to send. Aww, it's ALL GOOD!!

Thanks Secret Sis!! I got my package today! I received some Halloween ribbon (loved it) and some Little Mermaid ribbon. I got some Vintage Minnie and Mickey 3-D stickers, a Quote Sticker Stack for boys (I almost bought one of these the other day and put it back!), bat stickers, halloween definition stickers, and Cat vellum skickers with sayings on them! I loved everything!!! Thank you so much! My maillady got a kick out of me sending myself a package! You are sneaky!

I got my package today! Some Tink cut outs I've been eyeing, neat school stickers and really cool ribbon labels. It is like you read my mind. I was looking at some of this over the week end. Trying to figure out what I would use my 50% Mikes coupon on!

I already received my SS package and it was AWESOME and guess what - I made a "rushed" last minute decision to come home at lunch AND the first thing out of my mailbox was and envelope that looked suspicious (you know not my hand writing but it had my address as the return address) AND I got a super duper Halloween/fall card (perfect timing for OH weather today too) and a wonderful embellishment that relates to a trip I just took from my SS! She must have read on another board where I went, cause I don't think I mentioned on this one Sneaky one - you are

My SS is THE BEST :banana Let me tell you after a couple of hectic days - my SPECIAL TREAT from my SPECIAL SS has really made my day!

I have PM'd MickeyTeacher, but wanted to share with the rest of the swap group that I have not yet received my package.
This is my first swap besides one I am working on that is due in January. I have been reading another thread about swaps and am now a little concerned about what the outcome will be.
I am thrilled that my SS received her package from me and I really enjoyed shopping for her. But since this is a three month committment I was wondering how I should proceed? (Fool me once, shame on you... fool me twice shame on me) I do realize that the SS I mailed to is not the same person who was supposed to mail to me, so I don't want to penalize her, but I think it would be unfair for the person who didn't mail to me to receive another package from her SS. (Does that make sense?)
Anyway, just wanted to vent.

I'm sorry to hear that the SS that has your name has not followed through. I'm sure that MickeyTeacher will be finding out if it is a one time glitch or if the person who has her name should be now sending those items to you.

I've been burned once on a swap (as you can see by reading through the threads) but I do know that most of the people are sincere and do their best to keep their committments. I am hoping for the best possible outcome for you.

I think you are absolutely entitled to vent...and I hope you get a package from someone soon!!!

That's really terrible! We have had plenty of time to shop and mail out the packages! I was away the week before and I went shopping on Sep 30th and mailed out my packages that Monday! Oct 2nd!!!! I didn't have any other choice, and felt bad, because everyone else was getting their packages, but that was the deadline, so I just mailed it overnight I think!!! Anyway, there was still plenty of time! I feel really bad! Now this person is not going to be able to get goodies in the mail! That is just not right! There must be something we can do! Do we have an Angel Plan set up for something like this? I really hate to hear about someone left out, that just isn't fair. I would really like to help! Please let me know what I can do!

I have pm'ed everyone and gotten an answers. As far as I now they are all mailed. However, I'm going to contact anyone whose buddy had not recieved a package and let them know that I will angel the spots if need be. I know that sound harsh but we are all adults. I'm working hard to make sure everyone is covered.
I thank everyone who has offered to angel- I will let you know if I need you.
Please know that I'm working on it! I have pm'd people who I felt might flake and asked them to send me tracking numbers- that way I can be sure they are doing what they have said they have done.
As my family says, I'm the peace maker- I want everyone to be happy and have a great experence. So, please know that I will make sure everyone gets a package.

A similar situation happened at SDV (Scrapper's Dream Vacation) a few years ago in Orlando. Someone had an emergency and canceled at the last minute, so we had one odd man out. We all felt bad, so everyone involved with the secret pal swap "adopted" the odd person. She ended up getting little gifts all weekend from all of us. On the last day when we reveiled who had who, she started to cry....she couldn't believe how nice everyone had been to her.

Hopefully you'll get a package soon.
